Can you play LA and Dirk at the same time and still be successful??

Guessing Dirk will be a super sub.

Guessing Dirk will be a super sub.
That's what I'm assuming. You could maybe sneak LA to 5 but it would take away from his ability to shoot from the mid range and still have a big in position to rebound.
Should be interesting if it happens

Sign LA12 with capspace...sign-and-trade Tyson and Felton for Deandre Jordan. Re-sign Monta or let him go and sign Wes Matthews
PG
Monta
Parsons
LA12/Dirk
Deandre Jordan
Yes pls

I'd LOVE to see LMA on the Mavs.

Not to be a d1ck, but asides from the hometown Texan thing, Aldridge has a much better chance of winning in Portland than in Dallas. Sure, Damian is overrated but as long as Olshey resigns Wes, Lopez and maybe even Afflalo, Portland is in good shape. Injuries derailed this season - i'd say that Portland had a legit shot at the WCF this year

I agree that Portland offers a better chance of winning than Dallas, but Afflalo is not going to re-sign with the Blazers, and Lopez is one of the worst starting centers in the league.
Anyway, losing Afflalo is no big deal considering how great CJ McCollum was looking at the end of the year.

Dallas already as good as Portland WITH LMA, RIGHT NOW... if LMA goes to Dallas then the difference is huge.

At this point....how is Dallas better than Portland?
It would be a dumb move tbh....if Spurs and Pop want you....you go there....simple as that

I have a hunch this is all a smokescreen to get his price up and still sign with the Spurs.

Here we go again...
The standard pattern for the last 100 years or so has always been:
1) star player says he wants to play for / likes Dallas
2) Mavs fans get excited
2a) (optional) Cuban does something bizarre like show a cheesy comic or run off to shoot a shark tank episode
3) star player signs elsewhere
4) Mavs fans are disappointed
Honestly, what was the biggest outright free agent signing of the Cuban era? Dampier? Old Kidd?

Why do Clippers do that?
Tyson and Felton for Jordan is retarded in the sense that Jordan is still 26 and has ways to go in his career while Tyson is on his way out in a couple years (felton lol), but looking at it financially the Clippers are REALLY going to be maxed out on the books if they give Deandre the money he's looking for.

how much money can dallas offer lma?

I am thinking Lamarcus is going to stay in Portland just due to the fact that they can give him a lot more money than anybody else.
Not many guys are willing to leave $25-30 million on the table.

If you look at Melo's career arc, they probably should

Still, better than having Tyson and Felton for the same yearly cost. If they make that trade, more needs to go to Clippers in the form of future assets than Felton.

Why do Clippers do that?
Uhhh cuz if Deandre Jordan is leaving...they have no absolutely ZERO cap space to go get a starring Center. Might as well take Tyson...whom CP3 loves
It really makes perfect sense for them to swap teams

Why would he need to get his price up? He's getting the max wherever he goes
That makes no sense with max level players
