Steve Nash. One way player. Played Gimmick Ball and gained number 1 offense by playing Power Forwards at center and basically punting defense.

Very underwhelming. Certainly not MVP level impact.

If you watched him play Nash was one of the GOAT offensive player. He was up there with Magic Johnson.

Apparently OP's favorite player is Steph Curry, but fails to realize Steve Nash was the first general of that run and gun, three point shooting, small ball offense that is so frequent in today's game.

Still a better MVP than Curry, Rose, Kobe, and Iverson.

MVP should've been Shaq that year, and Kobe a year later... But like I said, Nash caters to the white suburban audience (who they needed to attract more of after the Kobe trial and Malice at the Palace).
2005 - Shaq
2006 - Kobe
2007 - Kobe
2008 - Kobe
2009 - LeBron
2010 - LeBron
2011 - LeBron
2012 - LeBron
2013 - LeBron
2014 - Durant
2015 - LeBron
MVP Count would've been:
Shaq - 2
Kobe - 3
LeBron - 6
Durant - 1
No BS Rose/Curry/Nash type MVP's.. If players were allowed to vote (like they did way back when) they would've gotten it right.
2005- Shaq
2006- Kobe
2007- Dirk
2008- Kobe
2009- Wade
2010- LeBron
2011- LeBron
2012- LeBron
2013- LeBron
2014- Durant
2015- Curry

Suns were 29-53 (.353) in 2003-04 with the same roster, and went 2-5 (.286) without him in the 2004-05, while they were 60-15 (.800) with him in the lineup. From 2004-05 to 2009-10 Suns were 323-143 (.693) with Nash in the lineup and 9-17 (.346) without him in the lineup.

Why? They are nothing alike...Curry is a two way player while Nash is a 1 way gimmick ball player. It's like comparing Amare Stoudemire with Tim Duncan.

Why should the 2005 MVP have gone to Shaq?

Also fails to realize that Curry idolized Nash and patterned his game on Nash's.

Kobe's MVP is the most fugazi in the entire history of sports in the universe.
