About time we got rid of those fg% threads and advanced stats.. Embrace the eye test as the ultimate measure of greatness

40/12/8. Eye test not really needed when looking at these raw numbers. I agree though, the eye test and context is needed when looking at the shooting %s. Lebron NEEDS to be taking these shots, no real help offensively and going against the # 1 D in the league.

Yes actually it is.

See Kevin Love on the Wolves.

Some stats are meaningless and some aren't.

I always exclusively used the eye-test and it told me that LeBron was the GOAT

It's pretty clear that LeBron's extra motivation was to unite Kobe/LeBron stans on ISH. GOAT :applause: :applause:

Except LeBron isn't happy with his volume shooting & percentage. He's mentioned it several times in his interview with Wade & presser.

Eye test has always been the most important. Advanced stats, metrics etc are there to help confirm what you see(because we can all be a little biased) and argue/ debate with something concrete to back up our statements.

Not really.

FG% is still important.

Lebron is not having a good scoring playoffs performance. He gets about a C+ there. But he gets an A on the boards and an A in playmaking and that is why overall he is having an A- or so playoff run.

Sorry Kobe and Iverson fans...FG% is and always will be important.

Honestly it's his trailer clips with Hader that made him more like able for me. Yeah I'm shallow :(

Obviously both are important. Right now Bron is just doing what he has to do to win. I really do think Kobe and Bron stans are closer then ever before to seeing eye to eye. I knew there was always a happy middle ground between Bron when he is at his most deferring and Kobe when he is at his most brash!
