I was sort of waiting for a Finals to see what he's made of. And based on his past Finals experiences both in Cleveland and in Miami I am pleasantly surprised actually that we're already there. And so far he's had 3 monumental Finals performances in a row. My last real solid experience of rooting for Lebron was his last home game pre-decision, against the Celtics in 2010 which I also saw live at the Q, and the following road game against the Celtics on tv his Final game as a Cav. It genuinely looked to me like he threw in the towel at the end of both of those games. His body language was pathetic, the antithesis of how a guy like Mathew Dellavedova is playing right now. That disappointment doesn't go away simply by him saying "I'm coming back". Not good enough for me to root for him. I root for the Cavs of course, as a title for this city is what I want to see, and he comes along with that of course, but rooting for him as an individual I'm indifferent to. What stats he puts up or how he feels personally or w/e isn't my concern as long as the Cavs win.

He's actually exceeding my expectation so far this Finals for his individual performances though, like really exceeded them, so yes he's got my attention after the past 3 games.

Totally get it dude. There are some retarded trolls around here... Not gonna name any names. I guess I'm kind of a player fan. I never grew up in a city with a team so I don't really have that sense of affiliation like you due with the Cleveland franchise. I was a huge fan of Jordan in the 90's, and of course I am a fan of Lebron now a days. I guess I would consider myself a stan, but I feel like I am very reasonable about it.

I agree about him giving up on the cavs, I did follow and root for him on the Heat, but feel like what he is doing now with the Cavs is way more magical and special. I'm not a stan to the point of not pointing out his flaws. He did choke big time in 2011. He has had many head scratching moments where he seemed to shrink. He did quit on Cleveland, but in all fairness, I feel like the front office just didn't get it done in the first 7 years he was there. They are definitely doing a way better job this time around with putting the team together. So credit to the front office and the franchise.

I feel like maybe things worked out the only way they could have to get the Cavs in the position they are now. They were never gonna get it done with the cap space and the roster they had back then. But then the cavs took a nose dive and got some great pics, and now that he is back it seems to all be coming together.

Super happy for you and the city, and that you guys are right on the verge of such a monumental sports moment.
