View Full Version : Bran is dominant but not efficient
Can all the advanced stats/FG % geeks just admit that you were wrong. I hate Bran but I have to give him props for the way he is playing. He moves into the top 5 or 6 of all time with a series victory. Honestly can everybody just give up the advanced stats and FG% BS?

5 straight finals. Who cares.
To Kobestans and Warriors Fangays, stay salty.

Right now, he's playing at a level that is way up there with some of the best ever. I don't care about his efficiency. He is forced to carry the load.

He's averaging nearly a 40 point triple double and keeps his TO's and fouls down. :biggums:. This isn't just some chuckfest with little production.

Lebron has the highest BPM this playoffs at 10.6, as well as for the previous 3 playoffs at 11.0, 10.2, and 10.4
Kobe's highest BPM for any playoff run is 7.5, in 2009.
He is not shooting well, but even so, he is far better this playoffs than kobe has ever been in any year

I have a greater opinion of Kobe after seeing Lebron play his style these playoffs so far. Obviously Lebron gets his teammates involved a lot more and does everything else better, but his fearless, albeit inefficient offense isn't a detriment to the team like I thought it was.
I think this is what being a true leader is. Kobe wasn't shooting in droves for his own glory, he was doing it because it had to be done.

The triangle offense isn't conducive to piling up a bunch of assists. Many times it results in "hockey assists" (the pass that leads to an assist.) Kobe did make his teammates better and he did what was required of him.

:facepalm
40+ PPG/ 12+ REB/ 8+ APG in the Finals....FG% goes out the window.
All of his production have been impactful.
I mean, he's playing w/ 3 Knicks losers in JR Smith, Shumpert, Mozgov and some no-name Aussie Dellidedova...however you spell it.

The regular season's leader in BPM was Russell Westbrook. Another dominant yet inefficient player. :confusedshrug:
