David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprise roles as paranormal investigators

The first image of FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully was released via the official “X-Files” Twitter account Wednesday.

In the photo, Scully is dressed in a crisp black pant suit, while Mulder is sporting a more casual look with a green army jacket and jeans.

David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson will reprise their roles in the reboot of the 90’s series about two special agents investigating the paranormal.


Fox announced in March that the show would return as a limited series. “I think of it as a 13-year commercial break,” series creator Chris Carter said in a statement. “The good news is the world has only gotten that much stranger, a perfect time to tell these six stories.”

During its initial nine-season run, “The X Files” became one of the most successful television dramas of all time, hitting a peak ratings high in 1997 when more than 27 million people tuned in to the Season 5 premiere. The show had earned 16 Emmy Awards, five Golden Globes and a Peabody Award.

Man there was one episode that literally left me frozen in fear. It was years ago and it was a weird one where they both go into this guy's house and the dude is straight up floating in air and he's like all the way up by the ceiling and they can't explain it. Fuuuuuck that.

Some things won't have the same significance, but you can probably still enjoy it. Know episode 1 wasn't that great, but as said in my post before yours multiple sources have reviewed the next two early reviews as being great. Writers from some of my favorite episodes are on board so I'm hyped

Give the originals a watch when you can. Season 1 was good, but 3&4 were the best IMO. Haven't watched them all yet..I'm at 6, and the new season is the 10th. Seems to be a common opinion amongst fans though

I saw the first two a couple of years ago. Some fantastic episodes in there. Going to continue wit season 3 soon.
