True alphaness. On a tier of their own, where they seem flawless in the clutch. At the moment I can only think of Bird and Jordan. This is special level, where they're in pure control of their mental state and adrenalin, while having a huge drive to win.

Following would be personality alphaness. At the top of my head, Barkley pops into mind, Kobe, Westbrook. While Westbrook does give me a bit of the Jordan and Bird vibe.

Then following, the 3rd tier, but a unique and in many ways better than the 2nd tier, even though it's a little bit less alpha. The player that comes to mind at the moment is a player like Lebron. Where personality wise they're more easy going and more accepting of what their teammates can do. They're in the position where they are the leader because they're the best in their team, have superior talent and grow into the role.

This is all a rough example, and not properly explained.

Russell would definitely have to be way up there. When Wilt came in the league, somebody said that Russell was eclipsed and he'd just go away and somebody else said, No this would only make Russell fight harder.

Jordan is up in the way that ISH seems to mean Alpha, someone who must "be the man" at all times rather than actually being a leader, someone known to bully teammates over petty shit. Russell was known as a great teammate and people loved him and loved to play with him.
