1. Do I have to have cable or satellite or can I use it on streaming boxes such as Roku?

2. Do I pay monthly or all at once?

3. Is anything at all blacked out? I am talking home games on my local Fox Sports channel, TNT, ESPN, ABC, NBA TV? Do I get all those games if I subscribe to League Pass?

4. What about playoffs? Are they included or not?

Come on nobody can answer these? I'm just seriously considering ditching cable next year but wanted to make sure I could get all the games.

1. Do I have to have cable or satellite or can I use it on streaming boxes such as Roku?

I do not have cable or satellite. I stream it off my browser. My computer is connected to my TV, so that's how I watch netflix and hulu, too. I don't know if you can stream it off Roku cause I'm not exactly sure how Roku works.

2. Do I pay monthly or all at once?

You pay it all at once. For me, I think it was $169 this year. Not a bad deal for all the games you can watch, though. (they allow up to 4 games watched simultaneously on one screen)

3. Is anything at all blacked out? I am talking home games on my local Fox Sports channel, TNT, ESPN, ABC, NBA TV? Do I get all those games if I subscribe to League Pass?

Yes, All of the above games are blacked out + your local games are blacked out, too. So I have to use my parents time warner account to stream espn games on my computer. TNT does not have a working relationship with Time Warner, so I had to go to a buddies or a bar to watch TNT games. NBA TV games can only be viewed on NBA TV.

4. What about playoffs? Are they included or not?

Playoffs are not included. But they play the full game, and a shortened version of the game after the game is over.

All in all, I really enjoyed it because I get to watch a lot of smaller market games, such as the Bucks. But as the teams get more popular, they get picked for fan game of the night on NBA TV and so the cool small market teams sometimes get blacked out, too.

Would I get it again? Probably. They definitely need to make some fixes though. No score preview while you are picking games.

ZMonkey answered most of it but here are some things to add:

- You can use roku, apple tv etc, mobile devices or videogame consoles
- There used to be a mobile-only service for $40 a year that let you only watch on smartphones or tablets via the League Pass app. They took it away this year but I suspect it'll be back next year.

Well shoot that kind of eliminates the purpose for me. I'm just trying to find a way to get of cable without giving up basketball. League pass sounds more like if you moved to a different state and wanted to watch your home team still. Anyway thanks for the info.

Ballstreams is 1000x better. I have it and it's flawless. League pass and it's local and playoff blackouts is garbage.

I just had League Pass, it's frustrating as **** and quite expensive at that.

I have heard amazing things about Ballstreams.

For instance, Ballstreams has no delay between the actual live feeds, whereas LP for some ****ing reason is 90 seconds behind (if you're lucky), which is odd because it's seemingly coming straight from the source.

The blackouts will make you want to hang yourself, especially if you're trying to watch a local team or any team that is particularly popular. Even the NBA TV games are blacked out, even if you selected the team.

I'm done with that shit.

League pass international sounds better, there's no black outs on international.

Is Ball Streams free?
No, but cheaper than NBA, better streams, and no local team blackouts.

Click the link, then request an invite with the "Invite form" button near the middle: http://www.ballstreams.com/ref/4761

They offer one day passes so you can test it out to see how you like it. Get it girl!

I've been a subscriber for two seasons now. Love it.

I use ILP and it's great. No blackouts, NBA TV, and they've recently started showing the Network Halftime shows (TNT/ABC).

I heard it's bad in the US though, so Ballstreams is probably the way to go.

I didn't word mine well, I'm already on ILP and have been for a few years now. I agree it's great, this season I can't recall having any issues and I've used it A LOT.

NFL just removed blackouts and the other leagues will follow suit...maybe as early as next season
