James has missed more shots than any other player has even taken during these NBA Finals. Think about that for a moment. James has misfired on 64 of his 107 field goal attempts. By comparison, Stephen Curry, the league MVP, has taken 63 field goal attempts, period.

He needs to continue to chuck if the Cavaliers wants to win this series. The Cavs are missing Love and Irving. If LeBron is playing with these 2 studs. He's capable of averaging 33 ppg on 48 FG%.

Have you seen the Cavs "offense" when he's not out there?

I don't blame LeBron for doing this. It is an interesting stat, but not meaningful at all.

Shooting this much is not in Lebron's comfort level. Yes, he's doing it for the sake of having the best chance to win, but his inefficiency demonstrates that he's really not that good at it. Even though Iverson shot roughly the same percentage in 2001, he was much more comfortable and familiar with the role and less hesitant about it.

Lebron's greatest strength is that he's great or at least very good at everything, but not all-time great at anything, other than pure athleticism. Lebron is a great scorer, but he's not a transcendent scoring threat like Jordan, Kobe, or even Iverson. He can be taken out of his scoring game or made far more efficient with the right defensive personnel and strategy.

Lebron is at his best when he's got his fingerprint on every part of the game, 25-30 ppg, 7+ assists/rebounds and solid efficiency. So far in the Finals, his overall game looks great, but his teammates are covering up for his relative deficiencies in scoring, with plenty of offensive rebounds. This is not his ideal, or most effective way to play, and it never will be.

Brons just not a volume scorer by nature,

I'd rather have him do what he does best (which is be a complete controlling factor in a game) than force him to be a high volume shooter. A guy who would have a bigger impact in a game going for 30 points and 10 assists over 50 points and dishing out 4 or 5 assists.

Which speaks for the impressiveness of him as a player, that a 30 point 10 assist would be considered "just above an average game" for him.

However, specifically pertaining to this series (missing Irving and Love) LeBron is forced to be an extremely high volume shooter, in order for the Cavs to have a remote chance of winning.

It's not worse than they were in 2007. And LeBron still put up good numbers.

This. I dont blame a guy whose doing it all for his team to win e.g. passing, scoring, rebounding...

stats is pretty ugly for bron... but most importantly he's doing this for the W.

Kobe was chucking while playing with all stars. LeBron's best team mate is Matthew Dellavedova.

LeBron James on J.R. Smith: “I don’t want his head to be down like it was Thursday. … He has to stay confident. He can take 100 shots.
Like shooting like Kobe wasn't funny enough dude sounds like Kobe.

Mozgov is nowhere near Pau's level though. Bran would be a favorite to win if his 2nd best player was Pau in those Finals. Its not like Mozgov would have done anything on offense against Garnett and Perkins guarding him

Shots that were taken for them to win. Bran's chucking kept them at a striking distance, if he chose to be selective with his shots + some of his braindead supporting cast, they shouldn't have even bothered playing the finals.

exactly this. It must drive his fans nuts that they now have to defend inefficiency, their bread and butter standard for evaluating Lebron over the world. I guess Lebron was right when he said he could score 35ppg 'if he wanted to' but he neglected to mention how many shots it would take.

Offensive rebounding is keeping the Cavaliers alive. Draymond and Bogut cant stop Thompson and Mozgov on the boards, but the Cavs pay for it by allowing open shots on D because Mozgov/Thompson cant keep up with Golden State's 4 and 5.

Didn't he just set a record for double doubles at his age?

Mozgov can't sniff Pau's jockstrap.

The same idiots overrating Iggy being left alone on the perimeter and hitting open jumpshots with not one within 10 feet of him are the ones praising Mozgov for scoring on 6'7 Draymond Green.
