What would you guess are the rockets plans? Do they have any way to go after free agents? Are they limited financially in the amount they can pay either josh smith or kj mcdaniels or do they have any type of bird rights room to pay them if they are offered deals some where else?
Mostly at pg are they stuck with having to pay big to Beverly to bring him back? I would think they'd want an upgrade if possible, but is it?
I do know they have a creative group running the show and aim high- what is best possible offseason and what is most likely? What is a bad offseason?

Pick up Paps option.
$3m QO to Beverley
Sergio Llull is supposed to be signing.
Smith would be smart to take a few million from Houston to stay, since he is such a good fit. He's getting paid by Detroit anyway.
Terry will probably be back.
Injuries sunk Houston next year. They will most likely have the same team back next season, with a healthy Dwight, DMo and Jones. If there was to be a shake up, itd likely be at the PG position. Ty Lawson would be a great fit.

How could they trade for a 10 million type guy like Lawson. Sure the nugs would take motiejunas for Lawson if it were possible. What salary could they add, and would the rockets do motiejunas for Lawson anyway?

Well the Rockets just recently picked up Kostas Papanikolaou's option so there's a chance we're going to use him in some trade. I personally want to keep him and see him develop. He's a nice passer and has a crafty game.
As for our free agents-to-be, (Pat Beverley, KJ McDaniels, Corey Brewer, Josh Smith, Jason Terry) the team is looking forward to bringing them all back. The only guys who may not come back next year are Beverley and McDaniels. Both are restricted free agents. Beverley could get overpaid like Parsons from a team like Dallas (lol). Cuban is said to be pretty interested in him.
Anyway, the Rockets are said to be really interested in Ty Lawson. He's obviously not a free agent this offseason (sadly) but there were rumors that Nuggets wanted to ship him off. Morey likes Lawson a lot and to me, he'd fit perfectly with the Rockets. Overall, the team just needs a good point guard. Someone who passes well and makes his shots. After the WCF, Harden told Morey the obvious. He said he needed some help at guard (link (http://www.cbssports.com/nba/eye-on-basketball/25199950/james-harden-wants-a-backcourt-upgrade-for-rockets)). It would help the team a ton if Morey got another playmaker.

They'll take the same team next year. First round exit. Overachieved this year.

get Lin back, and this time use him properly, then u might be real contender.
oh wait, dont get him, so rockets can be the same watch-someone-practising-FT team as usual.
Jarrett Jack would be perfect on this squad.

Paps is a $4m contract.
Paps, DMo, and the 18th pick plus some garbage.

Please god no. I'd rather let him walk and give Capela minutes. I think he'll be better than Smith next year.

Capela is going to be a beast. Super impressed with what I saw from him.

Lawson and Harden in the backcourt.... 2 bad defenders. They need a 3 and D guy at the 1 since Harden has the ball most the time anyway.

Actually one of the best entry passing guys I've seen on this Rockets team, actually trying to get Howard going.

He is really long and mobile with great instincts on D. He needs to bulk up and get more minutes/experience. He's working with Dirk's shooting coach this summer, so we'll see how he'll progress. I could see him being a Serge Ibaka type. Poor man's Anthony Davis. I'd be satisfied with either.
