Over the course of their careers, Lebron has had a definitive edge in one on one match ups with Kobe. Both with their team records and individual numbers.

A shoutout to the January 2008 game at Staples here where the scoring champ-elect hit a game sealing jumper right in the then-scoring champ Kobe's face at staples and COMPLETLY stunned the crowd. You could here a pin drop.

One of the Cavs big men came to set up a screen and lebron just waved him off before isolating Kobe and hitting that incredible high arching shit.

Another insanely good game was the 2013 (?) One where Lebron shot 17/25 and was SCARY good. That was the best version if Lebron imo. In the middle of his title runs and at his peak.

Kobe hit a Game Winner over Bron as well in the 1.12.2006 Game.

Kobe hit a Game Winner over Bron as well in the 1.12.2006 Game.I remember that. But that was a 2q year old Lebron. Nice for Kobe's fans. I just don't think those games bother the Lebron fans as much given that he was only a kid at the time.

Incidently, could you post their head to head numbers if it's not too much trouble OP? Just put them in the original post. That would be great!:applause:

KOBE made some crazy shots that one game vs Lebron in 2006... After that it was rap for KOBE... Lebron just made all the big plays and got most of the wins after that...

Was at this game. Handed the Cavs their first home loss of the year. :applause: And that Kobe fadeaway late in the 4th... beautiful.

Bean hitting 3 consecutive fade-aways in LeBron's grill, including the game-winner to boot?

People claimed LeBron was arguably the best player that year. Kobe shut that up real quick w/ his late-game heroics.

20 game sample size

both have hit a game-winners playing against eachother

Kobe swept Lebron 2 - 0 in 09, Lebron in 2010

Kobe demolished the Heat while Bran choked in 2012 after Wade broke his nose

Kobe had 17 assists at 36 yr old against Bran and Bran couldn't score 1 v 1 against him unless he called a screen

Lakers have been pretty bad since 2011 and Kobe isn't in his prime while Lebron is, obviously he's going to have more wins, young Lebron faced Kobe when he played on some horrible Laker teams as well

too bad we never saw them duel in a Playoff series, where they'd actually play for something other than a regular season win.

love the raw stat comparison too because it doesn't involve the fact that Lebron played ~41 minutes a game while Kobe played 37, this comes from the fact that Kobe got injured 6 minutes into one of their match-ups.

Bran always looked at those matches as if they were his championship, especially in the beginning.

Kobe certainly didn't look at them like Bran did.

But when matched up 1 on 1, Kobe was always better.

It would have nice marquee matchup in the Finals if Lebron rose over the occasion back then but he did not.

For sure, or when Kobe and the Lakers in 2011 were back to back champs and the favorites to make it to the finals and Kobe got swept while averaging 22\3\3

Just like the guy in your avatar...do you want me to expose the numbers of when they were matched up 1 on 1 without picks?

Don't get choked out...again.
