"I'm pretty sure I can, so I don't want to do that and demolish their confidence," Jordan, said when asked if he could win against some of his players in one-on-one. "So I stay away from them, I let them think they're good, think that they are good -- but I'm too old to do that anyway."

Kemba and Big Al are the only two who can shoot on that team, so he's not wrong.

Plot hole: What is he doing by making this comment?

So what's that say about the GM that Jordan hired to bring players in or scout? Shouldn't he be bringing in guys who could beat a 52yr old man?

MJ making himself look like a fool with his comments.

What a bloated ego MJ has. Douche.

Making himself look like a stupid owner.

MJ won rings by cussing and fighting his teammates, he's simply applying the same tactic on his pathetic franchise. He's trying to light a fire under the guys.

Jordan can't beat bigs. Al Jerfferson will tear him up. Even at his prime.

He won rings because he is the best player ever, and was on a stacked team in a weak era. His personality is shit

That's what made him alpha and clutch as hell, being a complete asshole. He made his teammates hate him, but it also made the guys play with a bigger edge. Leaders aren't supposed to be all happy and optimistic with everything, you have to push your soldiers. The dude that was his sidekick for 6 championship runs hates his guts and keeps throwing jabs at him whenever he has the chance, Shaq and Kobe hated eachother to death but they won 3 rings in a row at the same time.

Its weird how that edge didn't work when he faced stacked teams in the 80s... Shaq and Kobe won because they are two top ten players ever, whose games were ideal for each other. They could have had the personality of Tim Duncan and still been dominant.

No he's not. He's making himself look like a stupid owner who's had the same GM for 4yrs who's brought in players who allegedly can't beat a 52yr old man.

He's feeding his ego, while being dumb at the same time and clearly didn't realize the stupidity of his comments.

Bran stans shook as usual. MJ was answering a direct question here. The interviewer asked him if he could beat the Hornets players 1-on-1.

Was Lebron asked whether he was the best player in the world?

Here's the full video interview...

I never understood why people get offended by such comments. I don't care if it was JR Smith saying it. It's just the way guys talk. Jordan even said right after that he's probably too old. I guess realizing maybe he can't.

Reminds me of my really old grandfather, seeing an old guy on TV, and going "look at that old guy." Forgetting for a second that he's old too. He wasn't born old, it wasn't part of his identity for all of his life until recentely, but now he finds himself in that situation, and forgot for a second.

LOL at all you idiots. He was asked that question and gave an honest answer. It's not like he just said it out of the blue. Unlike that other guy saying he's the best in the world and nobody asked him. :whatever:

Maybe if MJ got a 10 minute break and his knees iced between possessions. Hes too old for this shit now. Getting old sucks.

What's the big deal here? Most ball players say shit like this all the time. Check some of wilts comments.

Wtf is he gonna do? Hurt the players feelings?

Some of you need to stop. If the players don't like it then tell mike to throw his sneakers on and man up.

Wilt didn't own a team. He didn't throw his players under the bus by saying him at 52yrs old could beat every player he pays, 1 on 1

remember reading earlier today in a thread about how lebron said he was "the greatest in the world" that MJ would never say anything like that cause he isn't stupid....

yet he did do it then, and is still saying he can beat players on his team when he is over 50.

Yes, because he needs to feed his ego when he's already known by the world as the GOAT. Now go lace up those new Jordan's you just bought.
