Although the very dumb and unpopulated minority(Jordan jockers, Kobe apologists) will deny this simple fact. The dude is playing out of his mind givin the support that is surrounding him. It is greatness, it is heart.
If he keeps up this play the rest of the series, he has earned his way on to the number 5 spot.
Nobody else in the history of the NBA would be able to do what Lebron is doing now with this cast.

100% fact, if Kobe were putting up these numbers and shooting percentage, the branstans would be ragging on him all to hell.
The double standard is real.

He's officially broken in to my top 10 all time. He's looked like a 2k character out there with how much he's doing for the cavs.

I doubt it.

Lol, let's just face it, no matter what LeBron or Kobe do, their accomplishments and achievements will be dismissed by a large margin of ISH

Obviously, player rankings are based on individual performance, not team performance. I look at how well the player did with what he was given. Lebron this year did more than anyone else could have done with what he was given. For this reason, he's going up in the all-time list.

I will remember and that's all that matters for MY players ranking. Remember, there's no official players rankings, it's all subjective.

I take it winning doesn't factor into this? Second place just makes you the first loser.

As long as he doesn't play passive and try to save his shooting numbers ot statpad or just all out quit these next 1-2 games, I'll respect the hell out of his performance and what he did for this team.

So then why do you give Jordan shit for 1-9?

He's talking about players ranking and not teams ranking. Lebron has by far the best performance in the finals.

You should change your username if you believe missing the playoffs is better than making the Finals

That's a just a fact that people needs to be reminded of. I don't base my ranking of him on the record, i base it on his actual performance.

At the end of the day, making it to the finals and losing puts you in the same category as the 29 other teams who didn't win it. Nothing gets written in history. You don't even get a good job sticker for it. It has to be the worst feeling in the world.
The Cavs are still a lock to make it the next few years because the East isn't improving.

Well of course, trolls like Silk, Dubeta, etc would hold a double standard. It's trolling 101 on this board. But who the fk are you to call it out? All I see of you lately is trolling. You've always been a diehard Kobe fan, but you used to actually articulate instead of straight troll like you are lately.

To reiterate what 55 is saying, the GOAT list is about individual player performance.
If you want to factor in wins, go make a "player who has had the best teams" list, Kobe would fair a lot higher in that list.

Lebron's 2007 run is still remembered by everyone.
As is Iverson's 2001 run.

100% fact, if Kobe were putting up these numbers and shooting percentage, the branstans would be ragging on him all to hell.
The double standard is real.
Kobe could never average over 12 rebounds and about 9 assists. He could average the 37 points I bet, but he would be shooting arguably a worse percentage. But he would never be able to do the other things lebron is doing.

If Kobe, or anyone, put up 9 assists and 12 rebounds per game, then them shooting at 41% FG for 33 ppg would not be an issue at all.
Lebron's scoring has been just decent. His all-around play has been outstanding.
disclaimer: jordan guy here. not a stan. jordan stans are crazy nutheads like 3ball and those other trolls who need to leave the house more often.
with that said, i'm impressed by what lebron has been doing in this series. you can be a fan of jordan and also a fan of other great basketball players that are making their own legacies. don't know why it has to one or the other. that's bullshit. because if you enjoy watching basketball, you are getting a good show from lebron right now.

Agreed with OP, here. He has to finish this series strong, though. All he has to do is continue what he has been doing so far.

He doesn't move up at all if he loses, but he doesn't move down either. No one moves up if they don't win a title except in the sense of having another great season under their belt, but at the level Lebron is already at (top 9 mimimum), you really need titles or awards to move spots.

Does anyone remember Lebron choking his way to overtime, including a hilarious outbounds lost dribble in game 2? No because Cavs won.

Moves up or down based on two games? :facepalm
If he has another Game 4, he moves down to what, 15?
If he has another Game 5, he moves up to 5?
That's ridiculous. That's why so many people get their panties tied up in a knot around every single game -- because somebody's "legacy" is on the line. A "legacy" that climbs or falls several spots on the ALL TIME LIST based off one field goal or turnover or quarter or several games isn't a "legacy" at all. It's heat of the moment.

LeBron has the worst ts% of any star player in the finals, ever. Overrated.

For me, he moves up if the Cavs win. If the Cavs lose, it doesn't hurt him any this time around.

He's already done enough go justify moving him up in my book win, lose, or draw. How far I'm not too sure of yet. I agree that winning a title in this manner would leapfrog him up the list but losing in this manner can't really hurt much at all. He's literally in a win win situation right now.

I know all the Knick fans hate LeBron, but this dude is definitely the most butthurt about 2010. But I guess 17 win seasons and no championships since Nixon was president will do that to you

:biggums: Kobe could put up numbers like that if he wanted to, but he's always said he's a scorer first.
Some of his best games are his all around games.
15 boards in the off shooting game 7 against The Celtics haters love to bring up so much.
