because of Bron's ridiculous stat line?

If you take out his anomalous turrible Game 2 his finals stats for the other 4 games are:

28 ppg, 6 apg, 4.75 rpg on 51.25% fg, 51.28% tres (4.75 makes a game), 100% ft

That is all time great efficiency numbers for a finals. For 4 out of 5 games he has put up insane efficiency and is getting a lot of downplayed like crazy on his impact on the series.

Bron has had years of people talking about his "efficiency" and this year Curry is blowing it out of the water doing that and all of a sudden that talk is quiet.

Curry's 17 point 4th quarter is the highest scoring quarter in over 40 years in the finals.

You can't just ignore one game in a series :biggums:

But Curry has given us what is expected. His performance is definitely being underrated by some. Of course only because he finally woke up

It's because the Cavs werent thought to be this competitive after Kyrie went out and Curry let an undrafted backup have him shook until game 5.

He's been fine so far. Finals havent ended. He should win fmvp unless he shits the bed massively and they give it to Lebron or Iggy.

Yes, a lot of people just can't come to terms with the fact that Curry has replaced LeBron has number 1 in the NBA. In a few more years when the Bron hype train finally slows down and people start seeing James for what he is, Curry's performance is going to be more appreciated.

I'm not excusing his game 2 performance. It is just annoying that people aren't giving this man the credit he is due.

He had a terrible game and owned up to it and played through it. In the most important times of Game 4 and Game 5, the series changing games, he did beastly work on beastly efficiency.

If Kobe, Wade, or Durant had done that the talk on here would be so different. He has a great support system in place, but at the end of the day he didn't just ride any coattails, he put in the work at the right times to deserve recognition.

What are Bron's stats without game 4?

Curry's 17 point 4th quarter is the highest scoring quarter in over 40 years in the finals.

He hit 4 free throws in the last minute when the game was sealed.

James hits 16 points in the 4th quarter when the game was close and people don't mention a peep. All they talk about is the last 4 minutes where he went 1-4 or whatever.

He's been great for a first time finalist. His game 5 was insane

Unless he goes off and has a monster Game 6 (& Game 7 if necessary), it's honestly been a run of the mill Finals MVP performance. It probably wouldn't even be a top 5 Finals performance from the past 10 years

I feel like his game 5 performance was his first truly great performance, and he was bad to mediocre before game 4.

I think so. Wasn't aware of that 17 points fact.
