Well, he is getting trapped by double teams a lot, which naturally makes your turnovers go up. And it is not easy to get assists out of doubles well above the 3 point line, because teammates can't just run to the basket and hope he squeezes the pass through the center of the double team. Not sure why this is surprising.

His turnovers are more from carelessness/sloppyness than pressure from doubles. He has an easy outlet when they trap him at the top.

Really? 5 turnovers per game is not surprising. How hard is it for a pg to make a pass from a simple trap that he knows is coming after he demands a pick? :facepalm
