Only long term problem would be a bear deciding your yard is a ideal hunting ground that needs to be checked on once every couple weeks. Otherwise this is just nature doing what it does.
A Rabbits scream when a dog catches it is even worse

Much much stronger though.
And it's things like this that make me laugh at all the new age vegans out there. Nothing is more natural than killing other living things for sustenance, literally nothing except maybe breathing air. Scenes exactly like that take place an innumerable amount of time every single day on every continent on this planet.
It's only an internet story today because it happened one time in Suburbia. I bet the people filming and yelling about 'calling for help' had some tasty burgers (maybe even venison steaks? :confusedshrug: ) just before that.
that's too country for me

Yes? Yes, the fact that it happened in someone's backyard is kind of noteworthy lol
If this was a national geographic special, no one would care. Nature gonna nature is fine but not in my backyard. WTF. How would your kids ever step foot out there knowing the possibility of being mauled is very real?

Seen and killed plenty of animals (cattle, goat, sheep, chicken) in my backyard when I was a kid. Heard all the sounds they make at their ends. That's how a nigguh used to eat. No big deal here.

As Mountain Eddie recently told me (camp host for 15 years in place called Bear Canyon Lake), he's encountered 111 bears in the open wild and 110 out of those ran the other way, only 1 has charged him. He looked exactly like ron swanson.

Yeah well bears are something else though. Their bone density is crazy. I doubt gun shots could put one down easily.

Bears are some bad motherphuckas. Much faster than you'd expect and crazy strong. There's no way in hell you'd be able to outrun a bear if it had it in its mind to have you as an afternoon snack. But bears avoid humans generally, as do most large predators.

Naww. If you're geared up for bear, it's usually instant death with a well placed gun shot for all but the biggest bears. With an arrow, it takes a little longer, for them to bleed out or suffocate from punctured lungs.

True. When I was a boy scout many millennia ago I spent 3 weeks backpacking at Philmont ranch in New Mexico. A ranger went out with our group the first 2 days to make sure we knew the ropes (following the trail, setting up camp, etc.). He gave us some tips on what to do if a grizzly came into camp (basically make noise and try to scare it off) but he said if the bear wanted to kill us he would and there is nothing we could do about it. :( Each night we took all our food, trash, and any scented items like deodorant and tooth paste and put them in a burlap sack (called a bear bag) that we would string up about 20 ft off the ground between 2 trees in order to keep bears and other critters from rummaging through our campsite. One night we were all awakened by this eerie sound that was half groan, half growl and was followed by a heavy thud. This happened several times. Turns out it was a grizzly that had climbed up one of the trees and was leaping out to try and get our bear bag.

Never went camping, it's something I've wanted to do for a long time. But I know with my luck I'd end up being the first Black dude to die after getting mauled by a bear. How's my mom supposed to explain that at my funeral? :facepalm

Grizzly bears in the United States are limited to Montana, Wyoming, Idaho and Alaska.

Not really, have you ever seen a nature documentary on lion attacks etc? Usually takes a while before the animal stops showing some kind of fight. Depends on what vitals they hit.

You're confused bro. Brown/grizzly is essentially the same thing (small differences, mostly demographic but that's irrelevant). What you saw was a black bear. Black bears can be brown (even very light brown). The color of a bear is no indication of what kind of bear it is. Biggest tell-tale is a grizzly has a big hump up near the back of their neck.

Yeah, I've found there's more brown colored black bears on the west coast than the east coast.
There's even some white colored black bears in Canada that is caused by some kind of DNA deformation. They have dubbed them as "spirit bears". Pretty freaking cool.

He bit the back tho, need to be on the throat and if lucky pierce the windpipe/carotid artery, a neckbite is all in all really not that quick of a kill, can take like 30 mins depending on how huge the animal is.... its not that quick/efficient at least when compared to disembowlment by like Hyenas/Wolves, its much quicker kill than any Lion/Tiger/Bear neckbite, especially when Hyenas rally the whole clan (up to like 70 members), it looks more gruesome but it goes very quick, like jumping into a meatgrinder....

I agree but to play devil's advocate the amount of resources need to make that steak is highly inefficient compared to other alternatives and if more people ate vegan the human population would be better off (ie less harm to the environment, less cholesterol, etc.)
