Will a strong, heroic performance be enough to make up for this first 3 games to win the award?

He was good in the 1st game, only bad game was game 2, game 3 he rallied back but it was just too late.

26/5/6 on 45% FG 41%3FG while getting perhaps the most defensive attention any player has ever received in the finals is a pretty amazing feat.

Can you think of any other player who got doubled the second he steps across the halfcourt line?

Not even close to being in the discussion of "deserving or not." If there was an award for Most Impactful MVP then Iggy could get that. But for MVP, it's 99% of who had the best stats on the winning team.

2014 Leonard/Duncan and 2008 Pierce/Allen were way more questionable.

Why are people talking like Curry is having a horrible finals?

.447 FG%
.407 3 FG%
26.2 PPG
5.8 APG
5.0 RPG
1.6 SPG

If he drops like 35 tonight, he's going to take his PPG to about 28 ppg and he would definitely deserve it over Bron.

LeBron said during that Wade interview that he doesn't like shooting this much. It's really not his game but he has no other choice.

By that admission, you can forget about 36.5 PPG if Love and Irving were playing.

If you taken into account the defensive attention that has been on him the entire series then the numbers are pretty incredible. This is pretty much the definition of unstoppable when your whole gameplan revolves around shutting down a player and he still facilitates the offense while scoring 26 ppg on 60% TS.

He is averaging about 4 dimes this series...

Delly has been nowhere to be seen over the past 2 games. Dude has had one impressive game on the offensive end. A star? No dice...

Doubled the entire series and putting up 26/5/6 on 45/40/90? Yes.

Where does this myth come from? He is only doubled in pick and roll and that only the first 3 quarters.
