To posters who put T1 in front of T2 could I ask why? I like T1 but I have always thought T2 was way better with the action and special effects.

No Blade Runner?

I guess it's more sci-fi than action but I'd still list it.

T1 had a freshness to it that T2 lacked. T1 was a psychological horror/action movie, while T2 was more of a by-the-numbers blockbuster (a great one, but still).

Also, as cool as the T1000 was as a villain, Arnie's terminator had a terrifying aspect that it lacked.

I agree and also think Terminator is better, especially on multiple viewings but I saw T2 first as a kid and the liquid terminator scared the fvck out of me. The scenes where he kills the parents, the scene where he comes out of the ground to attack the security guard, etc. All that shit was fvcked up. Showed zero emotion the entire film and the fact that it could shape shift added to the horror.

Raiders
Aliens
T2
T1
Predator
Die Hard
Mad Max II
Hard Boiled
Robocop
Big Trouble

Mad Max is too old to hit me with the full fledged nostalgia.

And Hard Boiled I didn't see until I was an adult. So I get none of the nostalgia from that. Both movies may be better in a vacuum than I have them here.

The rest are all straight from my youth. Sleepovers. VHS tapes. Movie trips with my dad and friends. And T2 was one of the first real movie going experiences that I can remember. Going just with friends, no parents. Talking about the trailer. Merchandising. Other than the first Michael Keaton Batman, T2 is probably the next biggest theatrical event I can remember.

Question to those who've seen all Mad Max films (including the new one). Where does Fury Road rank amonsgt them? My first impression was that it was one of the best action movies I'd ever seen.

Damn you guys are underrating Big Trouble in Little China, its easily one of the most fun movies ive ever seen, as a kid in the 90s especially, smoke came out of my vhs so many times ive seen it, the tape got chewed up inside and i just taped the tape up with transparent tape and went at it again. :lol

I just loved that combination of action, pace, atmosphere, one liners/quotes/humor, martial arts, fantasy/adventure, the hint of cheese.... How bout dat chinese standoff scene... the battle and the epic 1st entrance of the 3 raiden dudes, dat look on everybodies faces lol.... dat guy exploding in anger, dat thing... man, loved everything...

Its just kindof that same feeling i get when i watch a quentin tarantino movie if you know what i mean? Its like some kindof mix of Dusk till Dawn/Death Proof/Grindhouse with a hint of Kill Bill... but a bit less serious...
