Any better story of these finals better than Sean Livingston getting a ring and playing a big role in getting it after the ups and downs of his career?

One of the most likeable players. Lots of respect for his career after what he's been through.

So happy for this guy. I remember the day he got hurt like it was yesterday. I had just got back from the gym and was watching the late game.
He was super crucial this series too especially since Klay was awful most of the games

What is his backstory?
He was great tonightI'm sure there's a pic or vid floating around but it's bad.
Once talked about as one of the best young PGs and as mentioned destroyed his knee, came back after a lengthy rehab, bounced around a few teams, 5 or 6 teams in the last 6 years clearly not the Livingston the Clippers drafted but he stayed with it, never gave up each year getting closer to the old Livingston. Finally found a home with the GSWs
Still not as explosive as he once was but he's still got a lot of game

I've been watching since 93 (not religiously) but I never heard of him until this year.

He elevated his game in the playoffs as well. Incredible off-season signing.

Second worst basketball injury I seen behind Kevin Ware.

Doctors initially thought they might have to amputate his leg. Nobody thought he would actually come back and play, let alone be a decent player.
He killed off that Delly hype in Game 4. Sealed the series!
Played well last 3 games too.

It was one of those Clippers curse. His vision and his athleticism was off the roof then he went down. He could have easily given up but he worked hard. Happy for him, it's a good motivating story.

Really? Dude was one of the most hyped PGs of his era coming into the league. Supposed to be next Magic (probably just because of the height). But still you can obviously see the talent that was/is there.
I like the guy. One of the better temperaments in the NBA, imo.

My absolute favorite story of the season. I remember watching the game when his knee exploded. Not only did he get a ring, but he was a contributor to it and got the Warriors out of some bad positions. I hope for all the success in the world for that kid, it's amazing he made it back.

I never really follow prospects/college players. If you showed me Okafor/Mudiay/KAT, I wouldn't be able to tell who is who. i just remember shaun from the Nets, but never knew about his knee injury

A player like livingston is such a luxery to have when you got klay&curry...barring injuries and changes in the coaching staff, I don't think it'll be his last ring neither.

Livingston was arguably just as important as Iggy was for the Warriors.
Very good coaching by Kerr

Huge respect to Livingston. I liked him in his limited time as a Cav and wish him continued success.
Shouts out to him for always being respectful as well, not like Draymond and to a lesser extent, Iggy clowning around out there.

WHAT! NBA players don't earn till they're 60 like the everyman. He needs to get paid, he hasn't cashed in. He deserves a bigger paycheck. PAY THE GUY, he is all intangibles and about winning. He was huge for the Nets last year playoffs and he was big for the Warriors this year. The guy is a winning backup PG.

Very happy for Shaun. He's a class act and really played well for GS in the Finals. He hit some really big buckets to kill any Cleveland momentum last night and his D over the last few games was tremendous.

My point was that after suffering what was thought to be a career ending injury missing an entire season and spending year after year bouncing from team to team he's on a team that just won an NBA title, pays him than anybody else ever has and he wins a title while playing a huge role. He's got to feel like he's finally found a team he can call home
You know sometimes it's about more than just money, more-so when you've had the type of career Livingston has fought through

I am happy for him, but I feel the need to point out that he was going to be a total bust, knee injury or not.
The same goes for Jay Williams.
He is fantastic for his Boris Diaw effect. I am starting to think a Boris Diaw type is an essential part of a modern championship puzzle: a guy who belongs to no position, can defend 3 spots, is smart on the court, and can't shoot, so he moves the ball the second it touches his hands. It throws defenses off and improves team rhythm.
