Do you guys still think the Cavs were better without Kyrie and Love? After seeing the series play out with Delly getting destroyed and the total lack of roster versatility and horrendous offense...
Do you guys still think the Cavs had a better chance to win than they would have had with Kyrie and Love healthy?
I'm looking at you tpols and pg...

tpol will flip flop, no doubt about that. He is a flip flopper. Pointguard is just stupid, it's not his fault.

Well I think the problem was that the Cavs fielded 5 players throughout each game. They were 6 injuries away from winning the title -- Lebron playing 2v5 with Joe Harris would have been unstoppable.
Let me ask you this...
What's stopping Delly,Kyrie,Love and Thompson from being on the court at the same time? :oldlol:

Me?
I've repeated that same thing multiple times.
I'm just wondering if those clowns still actually believe this Cavs team was better having 2 less all nba type players in a series in which they clearly had no ability to score...and couldn't keep up the intense defense because of a lack of bodies to play with.

DMAVS your problem is you rely too much on statistics to make your conclusions
The fact of having another offensive creator and scorer and facilitator in Irving is all that needs to be said. Having Love would have given them so many more options for line ups on offense... They wouldn't have had to play James Jones so much...
Without Love-No because of depth obviously but I don't think he helps that much or is necessary. I've said it before, Ibaka would be a much better fit.
Kyrie-Without a doubt they needed him! I think the Cavs win if he's healthy.
Me?

Nah not you, just my response. They can all play together if they are so good.

Anyone who watched the game could see that the moment the ball went out of Lebron's hands it looked very sketchy. Delly by game 3 looked ****ing horrible and he was their hands down 2nd offensive creator...

Anyone who thinks Love would have made this team worse against Golden state is an idiot...
Are we expecting Draymond Green to abuse Love? Lmao? David Lee? Even if it were Lee, that is not the Warriors style of play and I think Love could have easily held his own against Lee. His elite rebounding is more than enough.

Yes.
PG, in the same thread, said the dumbest thing ever on ISH...in it's history.
He claimed that the Cavs with a healthy Kyrie and Love...would have lost to the Hawks in the ECF.
Now think about that...they swept the Hawks. He believes that adding a healthy Kyrie and Love would have turned a non competitive sweep into a series loss. There is no way something dumber has been uttered on ISH.

Still hard to imagine that argument actually took place. But, it is documented unfortunately. SMH

That lineup got a lot of crunch time minutes... well, JR in place of Delly though.

I know it sucks you guys lost RBA, but congrats on a great year. You guys figured out a lot and I could not be more impressed with Thompson. You were dead on about him and he really surprised me.
You guys should have the best team on paper next year if healthy and it could be a historic season for you guys if things break right in terms of health.

Sadly, many people.
Well, I would get Love at the time... Thompson played huge and rebounded well for the Cavs, but you still need Love for spacing and the offense and he can still rebound very well too. But with Irving gone, it was pretty much a wrap. Infact, he played good defense these playoffs.
I dont like the outlook on their health situation in the future but that was the gamble in making the Wiggins trade.

I said they would have been the 7th or 8th seed in the West.
Which is just a fact. You realize that they would have been the 7th seed with 53 wins...right?
Gonna be a hard argument to win that they somehow win 3 more games in the tougher conference.

Also, does that group I was debating with last week about the 15 Warriors vs 10 Celtics still feel that "only an idiot" would take this Warriros team over them?

depends on how fast Kerr benches Bogut in that series I do believe.
He may not have been able to get away with waiting as long -- Celtics go up 3-1 in my imagination simulation of that series if Bogut starts 4 games

Every Cavs L in this series was competitive until he 4th quarter.
I'm still taking both Celtics teams over GS myself...

Congrats to Dubs fans! And Cavs fans have a lot to look forward to if this team stays together and is healthy at the right time. I'm sure they can add a couple role players between their pick, exceptions, and the Haywood contract.

That's fine. I said it was debatable... That is all. The other position claimed it was stupid to even compare.
Again though... Your reason above makes no sense because the 08 Celtics (the best team of the 3 imo) played way worse than the Warriors did against 2 worse teams in the 1st and 2nd round in 08.
So pick the Celtics and I think it's valid... Certainly in 08... Just don't use a double standard.

Delly is a scrappy player, and had the best games a guy like him could possibly have at the start of the series, but he isn't better than Irving. Kyrie is one of the most talented players of all time
TT has shown that he is one of the best power forwards in the game, he just needs to develop a signature move on the offensive end other than his rebounding

Cleveland would be best with this line up.
PG: LeBron
SG: Kyrie
SF: Love
PF: Thompson
C: Mozgov
