6 of Trump's businesses declared chapter 11, if I'm not mistaken. ~20 failed businesses and has a personal debt of ~$1B.

Donald Trump is a clown.

And he doesn't even know much about business. He inherited a fortune and pretty much all of his business dealings have failed and gone bankrupt. All the successful things that have the "Trump" name, don't actually have anything to do with him. Other people in real estate are smart enough to know that the public thinks "Trump" is a prestigious name, so they pay him to use the name on things he has nothing to do with.

I don't recall a single "entrepreneur" having a PERSONAL debt of $1B. In the last decade alone, 2 of his businesses have declared bankruptcy. Oh well, he's still an "entrepreneur" lets give him another 20-30 years and $4B-$5B to become "smarter and better".

I think what Trump is doing is actually quite brilliant. I think he's saying the things the other candidates wish they could say, but won't, at least not yet. Therefore, Trump will get weeded out, and eventually back the candidate that is willing to do most of the things Trump is talking about.

Donald Trump believes vaccines cause autism.

Donald Trump says Global Warming is a hoax and that it was created by the Chinese to stifle the American economy.

Donald Trump shit hits pants repeatedly over Ebola in the US when nobody who contracted Ebola in the US died. Literally a 100% survival rate.

Donald Trump says the real unemployment rate in the US right now is 18 to 20%

Donald Trump is an insecure bullshit artist who routinely lies about easily provable stuff. He claims the Cessna Citation X plane he owns, "It

Ya gotta think outside of the man himself. I only heard bits and pieces of his speech yesterday, but his "tough talk" on China, the current administration, and Mexico are what I think the Republican base and some Independents want to hear.

Can you picture Jeb Bush or Scott Walker calling someone a loser? LOL no way they'd do it. But that's the kind of people that are running the country right now on both sides of the aisle.....losers.

My local paper this morning referred to Trump as: reality television personality and businessman. That's about right.
There used to be a magazine in NY that always referred to him as "short-fingered vulgarian Donald Trump."

Trump is the worst sort of person and the truth is...if by some insane happenstance he makes it to the primaries, Americans will cast votes for him.

Settle down. He's nowhere close to being electable, so there's no need to hate us. He's no different than Colonel Bernie Sanders throwing his name in the ring.

He understands that political reporters need to turn out multiple stories a week and often it's covering campaigns (especially 18 months before the election) can be pretty boring. So he floats his balloon, pays some people to chant his name, and the cameras and column inches follow. The dude understands the press.

I'm not so sure he actually understands economics though. Here's him three years ago, slagging Ben Bernaeke and saying that stimulus is terrible and would cause inflation and the devaluing of the dollar. It has been claimed that Donald Trump's campaign hired professional actors to attend his campaign launch. Pictured right is Domenico Del Giacco, a jobbing extra in New York City, alongside a woman who was identified as fellow actress Kourtney Klotz

.....In an article published on the Medium social media platform, Carusone points to an Instagram post by actor Domenico Del Giacco, showing him posing in the lobby with the tag 'Trump Mania'.
Sources close to Del Giacco confirmed to DailyMail.com that he was paid to attend.

With Trump you wonder if they considered Fortunate Son first.

I remember getting into an argument with a friend's older sister about the The Police's 'Every Breath You Take' and how creepy a song it was. I was quite please years later when Sting mentioned it was an explicitly stalker song and how he used to laugh when people who tell him it was their wedding song.

I just learned that Blondie's One Way or Another (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_zBwRDEFMRY) is a song about her being stalked, but I guess it's obvious once you think about it.

But the truth is songs work on multiple levels at the same time. How many songs with sad lyrics work to actually make you feel good? So yes, Born in the USA has the ironic lyrics, but it also has those ringing opening chords and that booming backbeat and that chorus that is made for stadiums full of folks who are not unemployed Vietnam veterans to sing at full volume. And you're right, his future is bleak, but the song still has a lot of hope. It's sung defiantly and can be taken as a song overcoming your bad circumstances and still winding up as a cool-rocking Daddy in the USA? Who doesn't want to be a cool-rocking Daddy in the USA? I want to be a cool-rocking Daddy in the USA.

And Every Breath You Take is sung as a love song from a devoted paramour. George Jone's biggest hit and the saddest song in the world, He Stopped Loving Her Today was originally written a joke song where you supposed to laugh at the poor bastard in the title, not feel his pain.

A lot of people don't really pay attention to lyrics and for many people that do, the meaning goes over their head.

An extreme leftists artist could make a song sarcastically called "home of the free" and some republican candidate would use it.

It why a lot of overtly political songs fail. It has to work as a song first.

Steve Earle's Home to Houston is a lyrically anti-Iraq song, but it works terrifically as a rig-rock, truck-driving song. It also works that the POV of the song is not about politics but survival.

i honestly don't get the point of Trump running, much less a lot of GOP candidates. they are blatantly turning off 3/4's of the country just to cater to the right wing and win primary's.

if u can't win it all whats the point? :confusedshrug:

considering running costs hundreds of millions of dollars, tons of effort, and splinters party unity/votes, it makes no sense why there are so many right wing candidates running with no hope to win.
