So, yeah, they won one championship. Congrats. However, the challenge has just begun. Now, can you do it again back to back and have a shot to be ranked with the all time great teams in NBA history.

LeBron James is a proven winner and two time NBA champion. His team won back to back defending their championship.

Let's see can Golden State do the same. If the West is healthy, I don't see it happening.

He was supposed to win 8, so he was 2/8

also...lockout*, Ray Allen*

Did you ever envisage you life would revolve around hating on a basketball player? Why not put that energy into getting a job, a girlfriend, bettering yourself, we only live once bro

If anyone should get an asterisk it's Golden State. They were basically playing 5vs1. LeBron was the only guy doing work.

If Cleveland comes back with Varejao and Love next season, not a chance. You can't go small against that since you won't get a single rebound.

GSW had a hell of a lucky run that gave little backcourt tests to Curry/Klay majority of their series. unsure that's the same scenario next year with a healthy OKC, reforming Clippers, and even if they meet a healthy Cavs or another east matchup with a good backcourt (Wizards)

wouldn't be surprised if they are there fighting for a repeat though...they have the talent

Are people still using this sentence?

Statistically, he is not a winner. He loses more often than not in the finals. The 2 wins he has came when him and his superfriends peaked with one of the most stacked teams of all time. More often than not he LOSES and is not a PROVEN WINNER.

I honestly think Westbrook would completely shit on Curry in a series. I mean, curry wasn't even too great against Matthew Dellavedova.

I mean, not to trash Curry, but look at every round of the playoffs what the PG competition was. Kyrie was out. Beverley was out. Conley was injured. If this guy has to go against a Westbrook, he's gonna get smashed.

As opposed to every other player who loses more often than not in the first 3 rounds?

What's Jordan's record in 1st round series?

What's Jordan's record in 1st round series?

10 wins out of 13 first round appearances. After his first three years, he never lost in first round again.

Lebron has only been the favorite in one of his 6 finals appearances

Since 2012, he has put up INSANE numbers in the finals

I think Cleveland will bounce back next year and win it all... Lebron will have a comeback season and Golden state will win 60 games but either the injury bug finally hits them, they lose a few players who want to get paid, and the loss of Gentry is glaring. I feel that OKC are going to make it to the finals... And rightfully so.. A healthy OKC is better than this years GSW by a mile. Good luck trying to contain Westbrook let alone Durant... And now they have a competent coach, they will make the right adjustments... OKC has a lot of options for line ups... They can go small with Serge at the center, KD at the 4, A couple shooters at the 2 and 3... And westbrook at the point.... Good luck trying to guard that line up...

they'll definitely bounce back...and it's going to be a lot similar to the route of the Heat IMO, without the choke-jobs Lebron put up.

this year, the Cavs had no chance to win with the team they had in entering the Finals. next year they come back fully healthy, and not surprising if they go on a GSW-like tear of the league with this experience under their belt and being healthy. we saw it gleaming with the Heat in 2012 and in 2013 as they had a bit more fire and cohesiveness after their first yr run. I expect much the same with the Cavs over the next 2-3 yrs.

OKC is a factor...but if they don't make it next year, the team is splitting. KD is Wizards or Heat bound, and Wbrook will try to will his way as head honcho on OKC. The Donovan signing will be the demise of the Thunder...so risky for a primer KD and Westbrook squad, no NBA experience whatsoever...not anything comparable to Kerr this year. I also wouldnt be surprised if the Clips make a viable threat with the trade for Lance, he's definitely a good fit for them and much needed IMO.

So then only Bill Russell is a winner?

Jordan didn't win the finals 9 out of his 15 seasons :wtf:

The West will re-stack, so we'll see what they do there.

Miami (and Brooklyn :pimp:) might challenge a healthier Cleveland team, but odds are LeBron gets back with an easier road.

Can they? Sure. Will they? I doubt it. But let's see what injuries occur next year.

Welllll... you gotta remember that the Heat were historically stacked relative to their era. Shamelessly so. So they already had it very easy there.

Add on top of that the league basically bulldozing the path for them by letting LeBron play like an NFL linebacker while kneecapping any team they faced who threatened to beat them, and it's really not remarkable they "won" even one championship, much less two. What's only shocking, and a measure of LeBron's profound mental weakness, is that they didn't easily "win" all four years.

Kinda funny that Cleveland was more efficient out there with the combination of Thompson and Timmy then Varejao and Love.

Who is to say that if Love and irving was playing in the series that their defense wouldnt take a hit and GSW torches them?

West is great, but the Cavs are the #1 threat heading into next year.

In the west, only OKC stands a chance, and the Warriors were 3-0 vs OKC (not counting 1 game when the starters rested)
