View Full Version : yes or no. 39% on single coverage is being "SHUT DOWN" no matter what the PPG

lebron could have averaged 50ppg on 39% and lost 4-2

i don't care. the guy got shut down

lebron had 1 guy on him the entire series.. realistically lebron should have upped his fg%. he faced doubles often all year and shot 49%

and people say he would beat jordan/kobe 1 on 1? LOL

dude can't even shoot over 40% in those situations

I couldn't care less about FG%.

Really, it's not important.

8-20 is 40%. A low, but respectable number.

7-20 is 35% and all of a sudden you cost your team the game.

Do. Not. Care.

When Iguodala was in, LeBron shot 38% and the Cavs were -55. When he sat, LeBron shot 44% and the Cavs were +30

if youre a gunner/long range guy and shoot 45% and dip to 42% on harassing doubles and increased pressure

its not that bad

if youre a layup spamming 50% shooter and dip to the 30% range on LESS coverage. 1 on 1's all series instead of the usual doubles.... youre getting shut down

Yup and he was 35.1% with Iggy directly defending him. Dude straight shut his shit down. Bron only got his points off of sheer volume.

That's what happens when you go up against a top 5 team of all time, can't f@ck with niguodala

oh the horror

I don't know about "shut down" but it sure as hell made life miserable for Bron and forced him out of his comfort zones.

I don't know if it's being shut down, or just embarrassingly bad shooting. Either way, the answer is yes, of course.

It's weird to compare lebron to Jordan or kobe when it comes to one on one.
He is modern version of magic johnson with better offensively due to his athleticism and advance training. lebron knew it so he never really try to take over the game like MJ or kobe.

LeBron's jumper was broke in these playoffs for the most part.

He's shooting way too much now to be Magic lol. 27 FG attempt average these playoffs while shooting 42%. Very unLeBron like although the rest of his stats are pretty ridiculous, he pretty much averaged 31ppgs/12rbs/10asts

I never really liked the Magic comparison even when he got into the NBA. Yes, he had unreal court vision as a 18 year old but his absurd athleticism to set up those passes is what really impressed me. Magic wasn't a freak athlete but just naturally had better passing instincts than LeBron. LeBron overdribbled a lot throughout his career.

Kerr basically trapped Lebron within his stats.

LeBron's jumper as a Heat player was more efficient than his days in Cleveland prior to 2011. Maybe people are starting to learn how to guard him better.

jesus christ.. quit deflecting the L's because "people are talking about him"

yeah we're talking about him

this is hilarious. we hate lebron. he's a goof

ofcourse i respect him. hes great. but hes a ****ing goof and the biggest joke of all time. its like a trainwreck of failures. its hard to ignore

if there werent lofty expectations and hype. ofcourse i'd leave him alone

but this is lebron james the biggest underachieving choke artist in nba history

i wanna gloat ... let me do it without acting delusional about the whole situation.

did lebron fans expect for everyone to just leave him alone after the way him and his fans acted these past 12 years

when youre a cocky fan base. you BEST make sure you dont fall on your face every year

If Lebron got shut down in these Finals that what should we consider Kobe's 2004 Finals? Nuclear devastation?

kobe faced doubles all series and his percentage went from 44% on the season ( injured all year ) to 38%

thats minus 6%

lebron faced LESS coverage and his percentage went from 49% on the season to 39%

thats minus 10%
