All things considered, it was a very good performance.

Wilt put up 29/28 on 52%. Probably had close to 10 blocks too, but they weren't counted back then.

Perhaps, considering the context of the series.

Lebron performance was pretty good but not great his efficiency was awful.

Um, no.

No one who was the LVP of his team's elimination game owns that title.

You have to shoot better than 40%. 35 points on 32 shots on single coverage defense is beyond abysmal.

I think the thing that kept it from being all-time was his efficiency. But given the circumstances (lack of depth, fatigue, only play-maker), I think the low efficiency makes sense going up against the league's number 1 defense.

Did LeBron just have the greatest Finals performance in a losing effort?
in the most recent era, i would think only jordan and shaq came close to that.

the 40% is completely forgivable seeing as how he carried the team on his back like i've never seen another player do.

2001 AI is a lot less impressive to me since he *insisted* on being the offense. the sixers had no choice but to surround him with great role-players and defensive aces and it almost worked for one year.

AI in 2001 and KD in '12 were about equal IMO. In recent memory that is.

Hell nah. GS let him have his. It was their game plan all along. Let him score and don't let anyone else get hot knowing that Bran most likely fades in the end and without anyone to bail his ass out, they would win. It was only horrid shooting from GS that prevented this from being a sweep.

Single coverage all day long, green light, shot less than 40%. That's awful.

Dirk deserves a mention.

Having to face Wade AND Lebron in a Finals? Come on man.

He was booty in Game 4. Only 20 points and got outplayed by Iggy.

Game 6 was as empty stats as it gets.

His first 3 games were all-time great though.

Iggy outplayed Bran in game 1 (held him to 4-14, 4tos), 4 and 6

I would have had ZERO heartache had they given it to LBJ.

Of course it's debatable that a player on the losing team could merit the award, but I think LBJ made as good a case for it as any have in recent times. Couple that with no one player standing head and shoulders above the others on GS and it would not have bothered me to see it go that way.

As it is Iguodala's performance will possibly go down as one of the least impressive that wins the FMVP. Not that he played poorly, he just didn't stand out that much to me compared to LBJ regardless of which team won.
