View Full Version : NBA 75th Anniversary All-Time Team
In 1980, to celebrated the 35th Anniversary of the NBA (http://www.basketball-reference.com/awards/nba_35th_anniversary.html), through a poll by the Professional Basketball Writers Association, (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pro_Basketball_Writers_Association) 11 exclusive players made the anniversary team, Red Auerbach was selected as coach, Bill Russell was selected as the greatest player, and the 1966-1967 Philadelphia 76ers were selected selected as the greatest individual team.
In 2022, the NBA will turn 75 and I expect a 75th anniversary team. Keeping intact the 50th Anniversary Team (http://www.basketball-reference.com/awards/nba_50_greatest.html) from 1996 when the 50 greatest players in NBA history were selected, what 25 players at this point in time will be a lock to be added to that 50 for the 75th Anniversary team and in 7 years from now, who do you expect will be selected as the greatest coach, player and individual team?

You gotta remember though, there were a lot of great players already retired or near retirement when that list was made that weren't on it, so some of them will make it too

Why would Melo make it but not Harden or Westbrook?

I have Harden on there, but forgot Westbrook. I'd put him over Melo in that case.
