He's getting way too much credit. His D was fantastic, but his offense was a product of being the worst shooter on the court. Defenses ignored him, and his streaky shot happened to be turned on at the right time.

Curry had a ton of turnovers, but either he or Draymond deserved the FMVP just as much as Iggy. Iggy owed most of his open attempts on offense to Curry drawing doubles or Draymond having a speed mismatch.

I wouldn't be surprised if Kerr lobbied for Iggy to get it. Keep Curry hungry and reward Iggy for being such a good sport and coming of the bench all season.

If Curry has a off night, he has no impact.

Iguodala shut down Lebron James. FMVP

If Curry has an off night, he still draws double teams so his teammates get open shots.

Curry doesn't play, what happens to the quality of shot Iggy gets?

Iggy pushed the pace, played the best D in the series out of either team, and hit his shots when open.

Draymond? WTF did he do?

Curry drew lots of attention along with Klay but Iggy consistently produced at a high level on both ends throughout the duration of the finals.

Iggy was the best defender on GS that series, and 2nd best offensive player behind Steph.

Why do ppl keep mentioning that Iggy was ignored on D and dont bring up that Steph was constantly abused and nonfactor on defense? Theres two sides on the court and Stephs defense was HORRIBLE. Delly torched him in game 3 and they had to put Livingston and Klay on him rest of the series and he disappeared b/c of that

lol @ Draymond over Iggy. Dude was AWFUL in first 3 games Mozgov assraped him. He showed up in the last 3 games but consistency is important. Iggy didnt have a bad game all series. Steph had one of the worst games of alltime in game 2 and they still only lost by 2. The reason? Warriors won because of their defense NOT offense, theyve had the best postseason defense since the 04 Pistons.

Iggys playmaking and ballhandling let Steph play off the ball which was huge for him since he struggles onball since his pickandroll and passing game arent that good. Iggys transition assault was huge for them in droughts too and it was because of his activity they were able to speed up the pace and tempo when Cavs were slowing it down

If we do game by game
Game 1: Iggy (he was better than Lebron too, the best player on either side, held him 4-14 4 turnovers)
Game 2: Iggy (alltime bad performance from Steph on both ends)
Game 3: Iggy (Steph got TORCHED by Delly, his defense was god awful)
Game 4: Iggy (best player on either side)
Game 5: Steph
Game 6: Iggy (best player on either side, Draymond better than Steph)

Iggy +/- for the series was +21, Steph was +2. There is no argument Iggy was the MVP

Not sure Kerr would risk getting his MVP upset by doing something like this. Iggy deserved it - he played defense on Lebron, pushed it full court when he got the ball, hit timely 3s and lifted Warriors when they were discouraged/down.

I'll give you the D on LeBron, but...

everyone on the warriors pushed it when they had a chance, and those open shots were courtesy of Curry/Klay being great shooters, and Dray having a huge speed mismatch against the Cav's bigs.

Statistically nope
but the postseason is a small sample and plus Warriors faced alot of injuries to opponents so that inflates their numbers

i do the 08 Celtics are the better defense tho. Prime KG:applause:

Normally ish waits for a players value to bottom out before calling for a trade, but this is the time to trade igoudala right now. Or you could wait for next season/after next season and then talk about trading him to come up w the ability to go after a big free agent.

yeah lets give up the only great perimeter defender on the team whos a top 5 defender in the world, who covers the defensive holes completely of our crap defensive PG and inconsistent but good defensive SG:lol :lol GS not getting Jimmy, Kawhi or Middleton who are the only elite defensive wings than can also handle the ball (tonys the best perimeter defender but he isnt good on O). Iggys ballhandling/playmaking was crucial, if he leaves Livingston and Steph are the only ballhandlers since Lee is dippin:hammerhead: :hammerhead:
