I don't agree with all of this, some clips are cherry picked and misleading. But the overall point still stands and has merit.

To be fair, nitpicking at Lebron's defense is absolutely ridiculous given the circumstances. The guy was responsible for nearly 100% of the offense due to having lousy, incapable teammates (the Finals Cavs team was the equivalent of Lebron joining the current Sixers roster) who just can't play so trying to criticize him for not putting in tons of effort on the defensive end is downright absurd.

If you want to criticize his defensive efforts, at least wait until he has some help on offense and doesn't have to be the go-to guy on nearly every play....trying to be superman on both ends of the floor when your teammates are garbage is virtually impossible.

It does say that in the title, though people extended the argument and said he was always overrated, which I replied to he isn't, and he in fact does have all time great impact on that side of the ball. All true, and backed up by stats, particularly during his Heat days.

I've been said his D was horrible during the playoffs but a lot of stuff in that video is not his fault or could happen to anyone. My problem which u see in the video is him not contesting layups. That video shows his teammates not rotating properly and horrible help defence from them.

Still waiting for that video of GS holding and setting tons of illigal screens that never got called.

Do people even understand what "he can guard 1-5" means? He doesn't have to lock up every player at that position. You do realize that right? Players like Josh Smith, Paul George, Kawhi Leonard are all other guys you could throw into the list of guys who can "guard" 1-4 or 5... It just means, if needed they can match up on them, and at least hold them to their averages on a given night.

You guys sit here and act as if it means he isn't allowed to let the other player score a single bucket for the point to stand. :oldlol:

lebron's defense was just average. The Cavs were purposely overhelping and leaving certain players open. That's not bad defense, that was the gameplan. Cherry picking plays where it happened isnt bad defense. Lebron had a few lapses though. He also had a some defensive plays.

In LeBron's defense there was nothing he could of done on defense. Steph Curry dropped 26 ppg and 6 assists a game while receiving more defensive attention than ever seen in the NBA. He is the definition of unstoppable.
