View Full Version : D.J. Cooper (Totally Dominated By Vassilis Spanoulis) To Get NBA Contract
Euroleague
06-18-2015, 03:02 PM
Reports are that D.J. Cooper, a player that Vassilis Spanoulis just completely dominated in the Greek League Finals, is getting an NBA contract from a Western Conference playoff team.........
Supposedly, scouts from this "NBA Western Conference playoff team" were in attendance during the Greek League Finals series between Panathinaikos and Olympiacos (where Spanoulis' team swept Cooper's team, and Spanoulis completely dominated Cooper), and were "impressed enough" with Cooper's play to give him a contract..........
:lol :oldlol:
At all of the clown trolls in this forum that say no NBA team would give Spanoulis a contract. He just completely destroyed D.J. Cooper in front of a bunch of NBA scouts, and Cooper got an NBA contract, just being able to take the punishment for 3 games and not crying.

If true, Cooper just surpassed Spanoulis on my all-time list. Yet another player making it to the pros while Spanoulis stays rotting in the NBA's international D-league.

Well, anyone would get beat down by the GOAToulis and all NBA scouts are aware of that. so they dont hold it against Cooper

Like clockwork when the off season starts jeff posts as euroleague to generate views.
Anyway you do realise cooper is like 23 which makes a difference as he can be signed on potential and likely has had connections to teams while in europe from his college days. If true it just means a team thinks he can fill a role in a positive way for the right price.
It's not all about talent either, attitude counts and with the way vspan bitched and moaned about minutes last time he was in the bba noone wants to touch him regardless of how good he Is and how many threads you make about him signing max deals with contenders every off season that never have sources and never Halen

Euroleague is where our scrubs shine and rejects get recycled and make a living. Some of them are not ready for the pros so they have to marinate themselves in minor league hoping they can get to the next level. Most of them don't make it but for a few, towels are ready and Buttshifting is a must.

Close enough. Anyone not a troll knows vspan is a better player but if he still wants big money and a big role right away then it's not big surprise a younger cheaper more open to what the team wants guy got a deal instead of him.

For your info, Spanoulis still demands to be a starter. But I have it from inside sources that his asking price for the NBA is now 3 years and $13.5 million, instead of his previous asking price of 3 years and $20 million.
He has now made so much money playing in Europe, that his money demands for are much lower. He has made so many huge contracts in Europe that he no longer wants to ask nearly as much in an NBA contract.
However, being a starter is nonnegotiable. He will never ever agree to fall into the same trap he did with some jerk water coach like Van Gundy again.

LOL at any NBA team offering a guy that put up 2.7 ppg on 32% FG in the NBA at his peak 13.5 mil in his mid 30s. Might as well drag Anthony Parker's old ass out of retirement and give him the max :oldlol: :oldlol:

He'll be 33 by the time the 2015-16 season starts. Close enough.
Anyways, all of this is irrelevant considering there's zero interest in him from any NBA team. Dude was dogshit at his peak and he's dogshit now. His first NBA stint was the job interview equivalent of jumping on the table and taking a shit directly on the interviewer's face. He could offer to play for free and literally no NBA team would take him up on it. He had his chance and he failed as hard as you possibly could.
