View Full Version : Mike D'Antoni
Did the Nuggets make a mistake in not hiring Mike D'Antoni?
Steve Kerr and Alvin Gentry both credited D'Antoni's up-tempo style for playing a part in the Warriors' recent success.

With that altitude and Lawson at the point I think D'antoni would have been an awesome hire for them. I do love Malone though.

No Nuggets didn't make a mistake in hiring Mike D'Antoni cause they know his stubborn ass won't hire a defensive assistant coach.

Neither of them coach the defense though.

D'Antoni is a name that always gets thrown out there, but when you ask the fans of x team if they really want him, most of them will tell you no (I'd say the same).
Plus. I'm not sure I see D'Antoni on a rebuilding team.

Difference is the other two names you mentioned emphasize defense.
It's no coincidence D'antoni can't win with his own system, he's too stubborn on making adjustments too.
