Itll be the worst/funniest fight on the card
Pitbull/Weichel is the real main event, lot of other good fights too

Shamrock wins via submission. The guy is as old as sin, but he's in incredible shape for his age, and he has the knowledge and pedigree to beat a never has been. This probably ends in the first round.

Well, you're half right. Shamrock VS Gracie rivalry basically built the UFC. Shamrock and Gracie are probably the two biggest names in MMA history. Slice is a nobody in the world of professional MMA.

Say what you want about Kimbo, but hes one of MMAs biggest draws. He Main Evented the EliteXC card that was the most watch MMA Event in TV until Velasquez vs Dos Santos on FOX. Slice-Nelson from Ultimate Fighter is also the most watched fight on SpikeTV with about 6M viewers. I wouldn't call that a nobody in MMA.

Numbers don't lie, Kimbo puts asses in seats.

The numbers do lie if you're only going off free tv fighting events. EliteXC (which was so legit it doesn't even exist anymore) and SpikeTV fights are equivalent to the NBA D-League. It's a chance to fight your way up to the actual real deal, UFC PAYPERVIEW. There's a reason Kimbo isn't in the UFC anymore. He just isn't that good. Shamrock belongs with the all time greats of the UFC: Dan Henderson, Chuck Liddell, Randy Couture, Royce Gracie, Matt Hughes, Tito Ortiz, Anderson Silva, George St. Pierre....

Kimbo got his EliteXC career ended by an on short notice, nobody fighter by the name of Seth Petruzelli.

LOL those are big numbers any way you slice it. So what if they were on free TV and against weak competition. UFC would kill for those numbers on their free tv shows. Nobody is saying Kimbo is the best MMA fighter alive. He his a big draw, plain and simple. Thats matters. The fact that he drew huge numbers for such small events, says a lot. Imagine if Kimbo was actually legit, he would be the biggest star in the sport. Already one of the most recognizable whether you like it or not. Kimbo in the "D-League" was pulling in "NBA Finals" ratings.

Yes, he lost to Seth Petruzelli. Which was the fight that Shamrock pulled out literally last minute. Kimbo was just a rookie himself so its not surprising he lost to somebody who he didn't train for and with more experience. He was never going to be a force in the sport anyway. Too old, started too late. But he left an impact for the run he had, just like Brock did in his short time.

Shamrock wasn't close to as good as any of those guys except Royce who isn't either. He doesn't "belong" with them.

Pretty embarrassing a 51 year old could get you in that position in the first place. :oldlol:

Dude was talking about the heavyweight division not being safe from him after he wins this fight. After seeing him win like that, he should stick to fighting more 51 year olds.

Ken was like 15 years older and 30 pounds lighter.
Kimbo is still trash.

Kimbo saying he has evolved. :lol
I'm pretty certain a welterweight with good wrestling would be able to finish him considering how feeble the takedowns from Shamrock were. Let's see Kimbo vs Rory McDonald.

Fight didn't look right at all. Kimbo's "turnaround" wasn't realistic. They must be desperate for ratings.

Kimbo is only in his mid 30s? I for sure thought he was closer to mid 40s

kimbo looked like such a scrub on take downs and ground. just goes to show how vulnerable fighters who can only swing are. he''s such a scrub for a known name.

So why did a PPV a month and a half ago do 4 million + buys?

because boxing has been around since forever. probably 10x's longer than UFC. UFC is actually a very new sport relatively speaking.

anyone with half a brain living in reality knows UFC are still trying to build their infrastructure and fandom while growing, and boxing has been a shit-fest since the Don King days. its the shadiest, consistently most crooked and disappointing sport for fans to follow in professional sports by far.

give it another 20~ years and you'll see boxing decline considerably while MMA climbs. boxings such a unprofessional, horribly run sport continually disappointing fans run by the inmates, karma will hit it hard. it already has since its 80's glory days outside of overhyped Mayweather media hype brainwashing his events like its the Superbowl

at least more and more people realize how overrated he is tho. but hey keep playing oblivious to every social media and most people who bought that fight calling him a chicken, how boring it was, and never buying another mayweather fight again :sleeping

But MMA is only relevant when WWE stars migrate over.
