View Full Version : at what point will LBJ drop out of your top 10?

For me, it will be when he goes 2/7. It just becomes ridiculous at that point and I can no longer view him as an all-time great.

Never probably.....unless he has a 2011 type performance, how can he move down unless some new players climbs up the ranks?

That's not how it works. Only way to be removed from the top 10 is to get kicked out by a superior player (which no one in the current era has a case for) or to be accused of a horrible crime, for example.. rape.

He's pretty solidly cemented at number 10. He has no way to ever move up to 9 though. The flip side is nobody currently in the league is even close to bumping him down to 11.

10 it is.

If you're retired, maybe. But if you're still playing, you can play your way out.

its been dwnhill since the decision as far as all time greatness, currently hes top 32 for me.

i said it right after the decision. doesn't matter if he wins 7 or 9 rings in miami, he will NEVER be an all time great with the shit he just pulled. now if you add all his shortcomings plus another backstabbin/collusion since then; poor mans wilt on a weak conference

He won't, at least not in the foreseeable future. He's in the bottom tier of my top 10 so he'll be open to being bumped by a new player but there's no one that fits that mold yet.

Never was. Dude only won 2 rings by playing on a team with 3 superstar players. That's unprecedented in league history. Hell give Corey Maggette Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh and he'd have 2 rings too :oldlol:

2 wins in 6 finals is pathetic. No player in the top 10 is bolstering those kind of numbers.

But what about his individual stats? Also, your acting like Wade and Bosh bailed him out in the his 2 chip runs, he was the clear cut best player and at points carried them.

Bosh has never been a superstar. People here don't remember Raptors Bosh.

Wade was declining after 2011, he was still a good player in 12 and 13 but was always bothered by injuries.

Yes, i agree..... that he has the audacity to take a scrub team with 3 key players injured to the Finals and barely lose there after record braking performance & almost win FMVP despite losing.... instead of missing playoffs/choking/quitting early in playoffs showing much worse performance/impact, but protecting his Finals % stat, which is much more prestigious....

Its amazing how far you are willing to look dumb... just because you dont like Lebron.... him or anybody going 2 of 20 is better than 2 of 2....

That for example Reggie Miller is 0 of 1 in Finals is not better than 0 of 0... that was his only Finals appearance & Eeastern Conference Championship (thats what a Finals appearance means, which only ADDs to your resume).....

You will have to deal with Lebron doing his best trying to win a championship with whatever he has around him, there is no way of degrading that no matter what arbitrary stat you create..... and his accolades dont go away..... im sorry....

He was on the cusp of my top 50 until Durant and Curry leapfrogged him. Davis will pass him in the next 2 years, he's already a much better player.

He's safely in the top 100 for a while though

He will never leave unless there are a stock of all-time greats coming up in the seasons to come that are going to out perform him as a player and/or have amazing longevity and accomplishments.

These are all arbitrary lists anyways, but I'm willing to bet not a single person would have LeBron out of the top 10 (if their list by tiers) when it's all said and done.

I used to think that LeBron was better than Kobe, but I'm just not sure anymore ... Kawhi/Iguodala winning back to back Finals MVP is proof that LeBron is overrated

Can you imagine ?

-Michael Cooper beating Larry Bird
-Bryon Russell beating Jordan
-Rik Smits beating Shaq
-Kenyon Martin beating Duncan
-Tony Allen beating Kobe

LeBron had the trophy in his hands, but he lost his matchup

2014 NBA Finals - Series Tied 1-1

Game 3/4/5

Kawhi 23.7 ppg, 9.3 rb, 2.3 as, 2.0 stl, 2.0 blk, TS% .818

LeBron 27.0 ppg, 7.7 rb, 4.7 as, 1.7 stl, 0.7 blk, TS% .676

This year was worse ... Iguodala became the first FMVP who did not start a single regular season game

2015 NBA Finals - Cavs 2-1

Game 4

Iguodala 22 pts, 8 rb, 1 stl, TS% .693

LeBron 20 pts, 12 rb, 8 as, TS% .379

Game 6

Iguodala 25 pts, 5 rb, 5 as, 2 stl, TS% .512

LeBron 32 pts, 18 rb, 9 as, 2 stl, TS% .438

And Curry didn't get a single vote, while LeBron got 4 votes ... doesn't even make any sense.

He wasn't ever in the top 10. He's not better than Hakeem. He's 11-13 range.

Just compare career resumes, and tell us all here where Hakeem has an edge, Of the course, there are idiots that would give Hakeem an edge based on not losing as many finals...simply because he could only carry three of his teams to them to begin with, in his 18 seasons, whereas Lebron made the mistake of taking SIX of his teams to the Finals in his 12 seasons.

You want the truth...

Hakeem won ONE MVP. He came in SECOND, ONE time. He finished in the Top-4, FOUR times. Hell, he only made the Top-10 in balloting in 10 times, in his 18 seasons.

How about Lebron? 4 MVPs, 2 Seconds, 2 Thirds, finished in the Top-4 10 times, and overall, finished in the Top-10 in the MVP balloting in ALL 12 of his seasons.

Now, move along.

Lebron is 2/11 so far.

Hakeem was 2/17.

funny how if lebron won this finals he was gonna jump into people top 5 ever because of how shitty his teammates were and how big of an accomplishment it would be, but since he lost (which was almost a concensus that he was on this website) he is now gonna fall out of the top ten.
