Memphis may be strong contenders every season....but they don't have that 'x-factor'...a player that can lead the team to championship...
Could Westbrook be that player?
PG : Westbrook
SG : Tony Allen
SF : Jeff Greene
PF: Z-Bo
C: Gasol
So an elite defensive side...led by a 28 ppg scorer, perennial MVP candidate and an ALPHA male...would win plenty of rings imo.
What do you think?

He would shoot his team down the drain.

Lol.
But seriously...they have 3 elite defenders in Green,Allen and Gasol...a low post scorer in Z-bo..and then you add in an elite scorer and MVP caliber player like GOATbrook.
Damn...I can see them winning 3-4 rings...who'd stop them?

Goobersol's defense is so over-rated. And you think far more highly of Westbrick than I do.

green is not an elite defender. However, Conley, Allen and Gasol can be considered as elite defenders

Yeah...since OKC brought in a low post scorer in Kanter....Westbrook averaged over 10 apg
Put one of the best front courts ahead of him...and he'd carry Memphis to titles after titles

Don't really care about WB on the Grizz, but that got me to thinking about Conley on the Thunder and that would actually be pretty damn good. Defends at an above-average level, hits the three consistently, is a good ball-handler and playmaker that can operate within an offense and doesn't stall/iso his team out of possessions. Let Durant be the undisputed #1 while Conley and company round out the lineup

I think the ship has passed on the Grizz. A couple years ago if you put prime Ray Allen on that team they couldve won 2 rings.
I think WB won't get to slash much on that team (no spacing). I think steph curry would do much better than WB. That teams needs reliable shooting bad.
