I still think he's a 18-20 MM a year guy, but its a solid offer.

He's not, unless he becomes more consistent.

The Bosh deal let me know that this franchise has moved on from D Wade. Lol. But this is the straw that will break the camel's back.

The "paycut era" is in full effect.

Poor Bosh if Wade, Deng and Dragic leave the Heat this summer (it could happens)

$15+ mil a year is way too much for a guy who's pretty inconsistent and who will be 30 years old pretty soon. If he were like 24-25, I'd say it's okay, but almost 30? Bad move as things will likely be all downhill from here...

If they sign him to this, it'll seem okay on the front end, but lousy on the back end (ie $15+ million for a 34 year old who may be a shell of himself by then).

What a terrible offer. Hopefully some other dumb team takes him on. He'd be good for 60 mil over 5 years.

Yeah too much. Chalmers will have a career year next year anyways

Why does Miami enjoy handing out large, long term contracts to old guys? They should just start the rebuild process and only target guys 27 and under since they aren't going to contend anyway with an aging and injured Bosh, a broken down DWade, and an almost 30 years old Dragic.

If I were Riley, I'd try to package Wade and Bosh and try to get 1-2 high level young guys in exchange. Maybe call up the Spurs/Chicago and see if they're willing to part with Kahwi or Butler. Or maybe call up OKC and see if they're willing to part with Durant.

In Wade's case he's the face of the franchise. Come on now.

His glory days are over...time to rebuild. If he wants to stick around for $10 mil a year, sure, but otherwise, trade him and start rebuilding. The Heat aren't contending with Wade as their main guy.

Why...?

Just because he's gonna be the youngest white guy in the designated retire state does not mean he ought to be overpaid.

Or does it?

Why would Wade leave? :facepalm

He won't, he's just trying to get paid.

$10-$12 mill over that time seems a bit more rational for a guy of his caliber who is going to be 30 in the middle of his 9th season. But its Miami's money. :confusedshrug:

it's supposedly upwards of $80mil/5yrs...i think it'll be closer to $90-95mil seeing the uprise of the cap coming

Hope Riley doesn't do it. Bosh's retarded contract and now this? :facepalm

Lakers East. I think it's gonna work. A full season of Wade, Bosh, and Dragic will be successful.

The dollars don't matter to the Heat.

Lord have mercy how the **** is Dragic getting paid more than 12-14 a year? Hes a 16/5/5 50% Point Guard.

80 million is way too much. Dude is 29 Y.O
