Better stats, a lot more efficient, demanded more defensive attention.

Nah, Dirk had the better playoff run. And he beat a much better team in the Finals. And he actually won Finals MVP

Dallas swept the B2B Champions.

Curry's run was littered with opponents dealing with injuries and still didn't get FMVP.

Curry was better in the Finals, Dirk was overall better in the Playoffs.

As for FMVP, BS media could have given it to Marion, exactly the same "logic" as for Iggy. And at least Mavs played excellent D on Lebron, Wars and Iggy "shutdown" Lebron to 36/13/9. As for efficiency, LBJ was crappy all Playoffs, Bulls even held him to worse %.

Dirk was the best player on his team, curry wasn't. No brainer.

This.

Dirk is 2nd GOAT PF, he totally destroyed evil including David Stern in 2011 playoffs.

Curry had a great run but had a lackluster finals. He let Delly shut him down for a couple of games and didn't win finals MVP.

Nah. I love Curry as much as the next guy but Dirk faced Kobe, Lebron, Wade and Durant, that was at the time (along with Dwight and CP3) the best players in the league.

The Roy Aldridge Blazers were better than every team Curry faced this year.

Let's see. Winning FMVP as an underdog or losing FMVP to a role player as a heavy favorite? Hmmm..

I hate Dirk but his run was better, he didn't face teams with numerous injuries he faced them at full strength and dragged his team to the chip and got FINALS MVP.

Curry on the other hand faced the Pelicans with injuries, Memphis with injuries to starters conley(who wasn't even 100% before series started) and Allen, then faced the rockets without 2 starters in Beverly and Donuts, then they face a Cavs team with out Irving and Love.

Then add to the fact OKC have been without Durant, Westbrook and Ibaka for long periods of time and would be a 1-3 seed in the west when fully healthy all season.

I wanna give credit where credit is due but this season is just absolute dumb luck for the Warriors and deserves a big fat *

Curry faced Davis, Gasol, Harden and Lebron, which at the time are the best players in the league, evidenced by their 1st team all NBA selection.

Kobe, LeBron, Wade, Bosh, KD, Pau, etc. >>>>>>

Who did the Warriors face? A Pelicans team without their PG (Jure), Grizzlies with an injured PG and their best defender missing games, Rockets without their elite defender in Pat Bev, and a Cavs team with LeBron and a bunch of 2nd and 3rd string players in the starting lineup.

I'm not a fan of Dirk, but I certainly don't hate him. What he did that season was just incredible. Dude shots at 70% TS against the Lakers and Thunder. 29 points on near 70% TS over 2 consecutive series. Come on, kids. Curry is not on Dirk's level.

Yeah, you're right. Also, OP should go back and watch game 1 and 4 of the WCF to see who was more unguardable. Also, the fact that he was doing this as a 33 year older was amazing. No contest.
