I really Okafor but now I've seen some tape on Russell and I've become a big fan of him. Unfortunately the Lakers will end up drafting one of them

Winslow can't touch Russell's game. Not even close. You seldom see a 19 year old freshman play with that much poise, skill and feel for the game. This is a no brainer for me. If Russell is there at 2, Lakers should take him and run like they stole something. His floor is Tyreke Evans at worst. And Evans isn't that bad. Most likely, he becomes a legit star, possibly superstar. Everything looks right. No PG, SG or SF in this draft comes close to his overall skill level and game.

Vertical doesn't tell the whole story. Most wing players can jump pretty high if you give them a head start. The elite athletes have sudden explosion, meaning they can get up without a head start and explode in an instant. Russ doesn't have that and never will. To me, the more important test than running vertical is standing vertical. That is a better measure of natural explosion.

Split the difference, draft Okafor, sign Dragic. His wife seems like the reality TV loving attention whore type and if Wade bounces from Miami, Dragic very well might do so too, the Lakers were on his preferred destinations that he gave to Phoenix too.
