Looking for a creative outlet...thought this might be fun.

Anyone have a thought/recommendation for doing a NBA related podcast solo? is it possible for it to be successful?

thanks

Just pick topics from ISH and talk about those. Makes it easy. Unfortunately it's going to be 50% Lebald comments and Godbe talk.

Let us know if you do this though. I'd like a good NBA podcast to listen to, I don't really like any of the ones out there. ISH is better.

I made a podcast almost exactly a year ago with a friend and posted it here and overall got mostly pretty good feedback. I wanted to keep making more but he never wanted to so it stopped

I can try doing the same thing i guess the idea of just talking out loud for 30-60 minutes with no feedback seems a little unusual

Having two people is probably best. A solo podcast doesn't seem to be common and might be awkward to do.

no one wants to listen to a lecture or a monologue unless its really well researched, which requires a lot of work, probably more than you're looking for in a creative outlet...

did anyone listen to zach lowe interview brent barry during the finals? that was one of the best hoops podcasts i've ever heard. lowe is the only one at grantland who really attempts any analysis and brent is just the fcking man. tnt should pair him with van gundy, i bet they have wicked low key chemistry.

Solo is possible, but I think most Podcasts work better when there is a back and forth exchange between people. It will also allow for differences of opinions to discuss and different styles. If you are keen to go solo maybe punch out a 'pilot' piece and listen back over it (or get some people to give you feedback), see how it flows, whether there is too much dead air etc.
