First of all Love will likely be staying in Cleveland, secondly if Love stayed healthy they could have a ring right now.
The made the right trade at that point in time, a proven all star is a better asset for a team trying to win right away than a rookie who hadn't played a single game.
In 10 years time it might look stupid if Wiggins becomes a top 10 all time player but at the time they had to make that deal.

Lebron couldn't handle a true alpha sharing the SF position
Wiggins look like he hung as a mofo too

Kevin Love simply has a good agent. He'll probably sign a 2 year deal where year 2 is a player option. Then he'll sign a huge deal when the cap goes up. He'll get 4 mil more than he would have for his opt in

Not just Wiggins, a first-round pick as well. At the end of the day, this could go down as a top-3 worst trade in NBA history.

He didnt collude to join Anthony Davis straight out of draft night so no the comparison is invalid
