I feel this ranking might be my legacy to this site, it gets harder and harder every year to keep up with this site and I've been considering hanging them next season. Feeling kind of emotional right now about it, will try to get some sleep, later and thanks to everyone for sharing opinions with me during all these years.

Who's this LeBron fellow I keep hearing about?
LeBron was a very athletic player that had some gaping holes in his game that lead him to go 2 for 6 in the NBA Finals while having quite a few memorable failures. He had potential but his deferring mindset ultimately lead him to be out of the top 10-15 of basketball expert's rankings. His career isn't over yet so he still has a chance to start converging his stats with winning and boost himself in the All Time Rankings. It is doubtful however, he has always relied on his athleticism and he has played a lot of minutes of basketball already. Chances are that he doesn't crack the top 10 All Time Great Rankings.

I'd switch kobe and wilt. Put Duncan and shaq above Russell but nonetheless a very good list. Cheers mate

Cheers to that! Seeing as your team holds the chip and is the toast of the NBA right now, you should have no problem taking the high road and being more mature than others on this board.

The unification list!
Jabbar, by God, I think you have done it good sir! You are the Abraham Lincoln of this board, unifying the divided nation and healing it's bitter wounds, as has not been done since the civil war.
Jabbar had a dream that one day this nation would rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold this truth to be self-evident, that all men are created equal (except Kobe Bryant, who is a Godbe among men)."
That dream has come to fruition Jabbar. We have overcome. We have overcome!

I beg your pardon, but let's clean up the language? This is a mature thread - an oasis, and a place for civilized discussion.

OP your mature list is in the incorrect order. I have decided to fix it by correctly ranking them by maturity:
1. Bill Russell
2. Wilt Chamberlain
3. Kareem
4. Larry Bird
5. Magic Johnson
6. Hakeem Olajuwon
7. Michael Jordan
8. Tim Duncan
9. Shaq
10. Kobe
Cheers. Carry on.

Ive been watching bball for quite some time now. I feel its time to share my experience with ya'll. Time and patience have given me understanding of true greatness, and the ability to use the eye test for the greater good (bigger picture). The following top 10 ranking is the result of my wisdom/experience/talent from all these years. Enjoy.
1. Michael Jordan
2. Kareem Abdul Jabbar
3. Kobe Bryant
4. Magic Johnson
5. Wilt Chmberlain
6. Bill Russell
7. Tim Duncan
8. Shaquille O'Neal
9. Larry Bird
10. Hakeem Olajuwon
*11. Oscar

Damn...I am late to the party but just got finished reading and I have to disagree with the OP's list. He has Kobe too low other than that it's solid.
You know someone is a troll when you see Lebron on their list. :facepalm
Solid discussion.

I don't know bro. He might already be pushing that top 10 threshold. We have seen his college highlights, and Jerry West himself said he has the best passing skills he has seen since Magic. And what really kicks it up a notch is that he will be under the tutelage of the Mamba himself. I think that within a year of being in the Kobe system, he will have to be inserted into your mature list.

Glad to see that only Duncan's left in the top 10  I'll help you out:
Duncan - can't repeat, carried by Parker/Manu/Kwahi, no personality
A lot of maturity on display in this thread, but this man takes the cake. To actually be able to call out your fav player like this and admit why Duncan doesn't rank higher than Kobe
