I feel like you and I have gone over this a lot... but just to reiterate... Knicks should/need to either trade the pick and keep Melo (win now mode) or trade Melo and keep the pick (build for future).

There was no right pick for the Knicks. If Okafor slipped to the Knicks, he'd be a bad fit next to Melo and doesn't play defense, why would the Knicks pick him? Portzingis was this major stud that might go top three until it became clear he might slip to Knicks and became hot garbage. The Knicks actually had a Spurs like draft almost and yet it's totally wrong.

Media keeps saying Knicks fans don't have patience, media doesn't have patience. Media wanted the Knicks to go all in next year which IMO is insane.

He moves really well for being 7-1. He reminds me of a young Pau Gasol from watching his draft workout. The difference is he's a better 3 point shooter.
