View Full Version : Which Teams Had The Best Drafts?

First of all, sorry for all the trolling I did to the Lakers fans today. That's outta my system.

Anyway, I know I'm biased, but does anyone think that Minnesota didn't have the best draft?

They draft an amazing prospect in Towns which addressed our biggest need.

We then proceed to draft Tyus, who addresses our backup PG spot, and is someone who happens to have grown up here. He wont be anything more than a backup PG but his ability to run an offense and make buckets in the clutch will be huge.

The Wolves now have a bench of Tyus/Lavine or Martin/Shabazz/Probably Nemanja Bjelica/Pekovic...Which should be one of the better benches in the league.

Who else had great drafts? Heat for getting Winslow should be up there.

sucking for an entire year, getting lucky in the lotto so you can pick first doesnt impress me.

absolutely not.

I say this every year. being terrible during the season and lucky in the lottery AND THEN being able to select the best player isnt impressive.

the minnesota roster is starting to look good though.

You could say that about any team in the lottery.

What really makes this draft special and amazing for Minny is that we got a VERY good backup PG for essentially nothing who happens to have grown up in Minny and has been in the spotlight since his middle school years.

I look forward to it. I hope we can get some automatic As next draft simply by being terrible and getting lucky as well.

Jahlil Okafor told Flip Saunders that he went to Duke because that's where Tyus Jones wanted to go. Given as example of Jones' leadership.

 Wow

thats the key.

You act like Minnesota gets lucky. This is the first time in 20 some odd lotteries we've chosen 1st.

and they've never moved up into the top 3, or higher than they were supposed to pick.

Split hairs then, overall grade for Minny should still be an A.

they will. i think its laughable.

I guess to me, getting "A's" is suppose to be earned. and yet we could have given minnesota their draft grade weeks ago? :wtf:

never picked first.

never picked second.

never moved up. ever.

have moved down nearly every single time that it was mathematically probable (ie, not when we were near the back of the lotto)
