View Full Version : Philly should keep all 3 Embiid, Noel, Okafor

That is the perfect big man rotation. Okafor the offensive juggernaut, Noel the defensive stalwart, and Embiid all-everything.
If they're smart they'll keep all 3. With the cap going up, they can afford to. They will be dominant, and no one will talk about how its not a big man's league anymore, lol.

It's too little to show after 4 years in the lottery. Yes, they could have a good big man rotation (If Embiid does play) but they have 3 holes in the perimeter to attend.

If they don't at least sign a reasonably priced veteran or two this offseason, just to have the professionalism and experience rub off on the young guys, then I officially call this rebuilding plan a bunch of absolute bunk.
You can idle & play the lotto or you can earn your money & produce a quality product. There comes a point when every rational person must stop relying on luck to get by and accept full responsibility for asserting yourself in order to fulfill your job description.

Another year, another tank for Philly.
I'd trade Embiid while there is still an aura of mystery around him.
You could get a decent haul on a team willing to take a chance on him.

They should trade one of them for a guard. I think Embiid doesn't really want to be there at all, so send him off. He can still fetch a decent player I would think.

You can't possibly be from Philly because Embiid is all about Philly. He's out and about and interacts with fans and is always positive. He's a joker and likes to have fun. He texted Okafor the night before the draft and said "welcome to Philly". He also texted a funny tweet when they selected him that was like "wow lol" or something. He's happy. I can't imagine that he's happy that he's not healthy, but he likes Philly that's for sure.

No way they keep all 3.
Nerlens and Okafor are staying. They compliment the best.
Embiid potentially can be better than both guys and I feel Hinkie is going to try and flip Embiid into another high draft pick. It's all legal, but the way philly is rebuilding is video game like.
Someone will trade their first and a role player for a 23 year old stud that could be a monster when healthy.

Trade him to Boston. :D
this is pretty likely...i can see a 3-team deal involving Bos and Philly, where Bos gets a big and a star, Philly gets some guards/picks and the 3rd team gets picks/guards as well
Boston has a lot of pieces to unload...maybe even a Bos/Philly deal straight up...guards for bigs, okafor surely involved

Okafor is nice, but I'd want Embiid. He could be an Olajuwon-lite.

Going off the assumption that Philly has to trade one of their bigs...which I don't agree with...why are they trading for pieces instead of taking a swing at another all star level talent?
