Yeah, the league was a little thin in terms of super-star players at the very top and nobody else really even had an argument the be in the top 2 besides those two.

But i think we are getting better and there will some discussion soon of other players (Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook, Steph Curry) having a shot at breaking into the top 2...or at least making people think about it.

Yep.

But I think the only player that can even come close to those two, impact wise and production wise, is Davis.

Nobody else really. At least for the next 4-5 years anyways.

Nah, Durant hasn't been lower than 2nd in any of the past 5 years.

2010-2013 - LeBron, Durant
2014 - Durant, LeBron
2015 - LeBron, Durant

Not even taking anything away from LeGod either. Dude's been the best player 5 of the past 6 years. And still going.
