LeBron is the Owner, he's the one who offers Gilbert a contract to work for the Cavs

Honestly zero people would blame lebron if he left under those conditions. Gilbert would have to invest millions into security.

He's a ring chasing beta, he'd probably accept it to add another superstar.:lol
Only big di.ck alphas like Kobe get offered half the teams cap. Big dogs eat first

Lebron would leave
Kevin love would follow who you just traded your number one pick for
Cavs would return to being a lottery team
Gilbert would probably get bashed or house burnt down by cavs fans
This story doenst end well

With Lebron and Love gone, that would set the Cavs back years. They would be essentially as bad as the team was before Wiggins or even Bennett were drafted. Would ruin Lebron's rep in Cleveland and Gilbert would be forced to sell :oldlol: Epic. Zero chance this happens, though.

No way lebron leaves now, as a lebron fan I couldnt justify him leaving especially since he has talent now.
The 1st time was very justifiable-No good supporting cast, took bums to the finals, wasting away his prime while teams were getting better
Leaving Mia was also justifiable. He wanted to go back home and fix his rep there and build his story/legacy.
But now he has talent here, no reason he should leave

That would be ridiculously stupid, because he just ransomed his entire franchise AND his personal wealth for LeBron.
I wonder though...if LeBron cares about winning so much and is such a great teammate, why does he never leave any money at the table? I mean, that is the narrative and everything. :confusedshrug:

How's that contract working out for the team? Meanwhile, Tim Duncan and the Spurs are a year removed from winning a ring and are still a consistent threat. Tim Duncan, hold this W.

Lebron doesn't need his NBA contract to be filthy rich. Dude is on his way to being a billionaire.

Dan Gilbert wouldn't be an alpha if he did that, he'd be an idiot.
I remember reading that as soon as Cleveland signed LeBron their team value went up a half a billion dollars. 500M increase...
I don't know if it would be wise (for many other reasons, too) to "save" 10 Mil a season and then lose 500M.
500M > 60M
