Some moderator please sticky this per my request. I'd rather everything be discussed in here vs. hundreds of different threads that fall 1-2 pages back and you have to look for them.

Anyway to start it off...

The Lakers are preparing to offer LaMarcus Aldridge a 4-year, $80 million contract, reports @Mike_Bresnahan.
If San Antonio can find some way to get him, I'd go there. He'll be the main focal point of the franchise and will easily take over for Duncan. Greatest chance to win in-my-opinion.

J.R. Smith is looking for a three-year deal starting around $8 million annually, reports @Probballdraft.
As a Cavaliers fan, I really want to keep J.R. Smith (I never thought I'd be saying that ever), especially if he plays the way he did during the regular season. He's a legit 4th option and makes a ton of bad shots and bail out shots when the offense breaks down. The only problem is I think he's asking too much. I think I read the Cavaliers didn't want to pay him more than what he's was already getting, which this would be. Unless he's willing to take $7 million a year or something around that I don't make this signing unfortunately unless Gilbert has no reason at all paying that luxury tax, which he already will be.

I do feel out of all the people that can possibly leave (besides Love), J.R. Smith is the most easily expendable. Mostly because of his attitude and dumb mistakes. Shumpert should be the ideal person to bring back that could leave. Along with Love and Thompson.

Kevin Love has indicated to the Cavs he plans to re-sign with them, reports @AmicoBasketball.
This was posted today and doesn't surprise me. I'm not fully 100% convinced he'll come back. If he left it's either because he doesn't like playing in Cleveland and doesn't like his role or something is seriously wrong internally on the team between LeBron or Blatt or something. Cleveland can offer him the most years, the most money and the best chance to win out of everyone who can possibly sign him. Also take this report with a grain of salt as well. Amico makes up shit a lot of times even reporting out of Fox Sports Ohio.

James has opted out of his contract. He's going to wait to resign and has told the Cavaliers he plans to do so, but is waiting to see what happens.
