Would you still feel unsafe if it was the same neighborhood but occupied by a different race of people?

I lived in a black neighborhood in West Philly. I lived in a safe part of town. Never got jumped even while walking back at 5am from "ghetto" parts of town.

It obviously depends on why you feel unsafe.
I've noticed black neighborhoods don't fck with you. Especially if you live in their residence. Why? Because they wouldn't degrade their own hood. They'd come to your hood and do that. I have family in East Orange NJ that are amongst all blacks, all nicest people.

Where I grew up also, the only few black neighborhoods were just lower income. They were still considered safe to walk around at any time during the night. There was only maybe one street in that neighborhood that was to be avoided (occasional muggings) otherwise it's fine.

To be honest, my cousins grew up in a rough neighborhood in NJ. It varies. Good amount of gangs all over beefing over territory. Violent crimes aren't totally uncommon there. I remember all the kids in this 'hood dressed really ghetto too despite being a low middle class area.

Would you feel the same in a quiet middle class black neighborhood?

Not really, just ask Chris Rock but enough of these black threads already. Especially after "one of our own" just massacred a bunch of black people.

i feel unsafe in ghetto neighborhoods and its obviously because of the black people. most of the time you'll have crews of them hanging somewhere, like 4-5 deep just sitting/standing around. they stare down everyone that walks by, especially females. i feel more sorry for decent looking females that live in those areas and have to deal with that, since i swear it doesn't even have to be the ghetto where that happens, it could be the mall or wherever.
i'm not talking old black people, mostly teens to 30's~ who dress hip hop and fit that hood stereotype.
and hood people do fukk with a lot of the weak people in the hood. i've seen it even playing ball where there is some dude you can tell they know who always gets fukked with, but it could just as well be a goofy black dude as much as another race.
honestly most of the time they're looking to either laugh at somebody, fukk with somebody, or hit on some girl in a group where its creepy for the girl. anyone that says otherwise is a sheltered PC retard :pimp:
The issue with it is the parenting. As you mentioned above, early 30's and mid to late 30 adults dressing with the hip-hop culture. They don't present themselves as role models. Instead it grows and continues to excel than die off. Education has everything to do with it. These teens aren't educating themselves they're busy smoking weed, drinking alcohol and focused on getting girls.
You think the way social media has grown from the advancement in technology they'd present themselves more decent, it's the opposite. They've became accustomed to a tradition of showing off how tough they can be. You see kids flashing 10's and 20's and 50's on instagram and facebook like that's anything. What they don't understand that's hustle money. That's from selling drugs. It's pocket change. It'll due for acquiring a nice outfit or a vehicle that drives from A to Z. But, it isn't a salary.

I have seen a black drunk guy harass 7/11 employees in the West Philly neighborhood more than once after 2am on weekdays. I've seen this at least twice. Going up a deserted street in the hood late at night as a girl is a really dumb idea. At least 2-3 girls got held at gunpoint this year in our neighborhood around 12-2am.
We were also considered to be in a "safe" side of West Philly. Deep West Philly is when it gets worse than even North Philly or at least according to a few locals I know from North Philly.

like the first guy in this thread said, its not racist but it means you're a dorky little weakling paranoid about people who might pick on you, or even kill you for being such a waste of space.

Don't put your head down if you are walking in a "bad" neighborhood late at night. Don't generalize the whole neighborhood.
I think out of 4 years of living in that neighborhood, I only had one small confrontation. A lot of the violence in our neighborhood stemmed from youth violence or drugs.

that is not street smart or intelligent, its PC.
the smart white person won't ever get jumped or fukked with because they''lll avoid walking thru a black neighborhood.
the dumb whitey will eventually get jumped and fukked with because he thinks a black neighborhood is the same as a white one.
just like the hot chick is much less likely to be creeped on or raped if she never walked thru a black neighborhood.
generalizing = street smarts. even if there are a lot who don't fit the generalization.

no offense but its like you guys are a different species. what youre typing is very sad but i know its like this in a lot of areas in the US, and it is predominantly blacks who are causing this.
the question is why.

Spending time in a ghetto/bad area, regardless of the race, would make anyone feel a bit uneasy.

Well I'm a minority and when I used to go out at night to go get food after 12-1AM, I always wore "worn out clothes."

Its probably a similar feeling to walking into a monkey cage. They can attack at any time... and make use of their natural behavior.
Thank god the population of them has been fairly low here, but im afraid with what's happening in Italy there may be a influx soon. There's already one too many.

Mexican neighborhoods here in Phoenix are worse than black neighborhoods. What I learned is that if you don't give them a reason to fvck with you, they will leave you alone. I've lived, worked, and partied in some pretty bad neighborhoods, and the only time I have ever had a issues was when I was a kid in 2nd grade. My friend was riding his bike and I was walking next to him, a group of guys stuck me and my friend up at knife point, stole his bike and roughed me up a little when they saw I had no money on me. Even after that experience still vivid in my memory, I still walk down bad neighborhoods head held high with no fear.
Most Mexicans don't fukk with random people but black hoody crews do. They might not assault somebody but they'll clown them, get all up on a girl, and overall be much more likely to fukk with random passerby's.

I live near one of the worst neighborhoods in Western Europe, "Las 3000 viviendas", and visiting it is much safer than it looks. Mosty because if you walk through this neighborhood no one knows if the dangerous are you, and nobody wants to get into trouble unnecessarily.:lol
Normally only if you show a scary or strange behavior you become a target in a neighborhood like that.

Also consider how much safer cities in America have gotten over 20 years. The neighborhood I was born in used to be a really bad Queens neighborhood. Now, it's just sketchy and I feel comfortable walking around it late at night especially after 4 years of living in a sketchy West Philly neighborhood.
