More of a reboot of a genre/setting than a series, but I expected that due to the popularity of Pirates of the Caribbean someone would've tried to make a good Pirate movie with a more serious flavor. It didn't get made before the PotC franchise ruined Pirates again for everybody after that initial hit.

No one's ever made a good pirate epic, which is a shame.

black sails isn't terrible but it's a tv show.

I too would like to see some more realistic pirate movies or just more naval movies set between 1400-1700s not necessarily about pirates.

I'm a huge fan of the Resident Evil games, but I really don't care for the movies, in spite of enjoying the hell out of Mila Jovavich. So I agree they'd be worth rebooting. I'd love a more campy haunted house version that's more similar to the tone of the games.


I've always had this idea to do a follow up of The Usual Suspects that shows what actually happened, now that we know the story was fake. Basically we could confirm they were all in a lineup at the beginning, and we can confirm the boat explosion. But what happened in between? But all those guys are too old now.

^RE1 & 2 (movie) were great, actually. It was after that when it went to shit. They went way too far with her supernatural powers & the setting just didn't feel right, desert? C'mon. My uncle & I were hoping for more 'stranded in a city' or some sort. The battle between Alice & the Nemesis was so badass, I was hoping for more scenes like that with another of her mutated boss battles, there's also a part of me that says it's not going to be the same like Nemesis since we've invested so much in emotion, storyline or what not in the game -- I felt like I knew him in person. ahaha

I don't know, I hope they'll just reboot it & not go crazy with the mutations/evolution.
