Was any player on that Bulls team taking up 37% of the salary cap?

Honest question. Dunno what Jordan was making.

Only on ISH can the 2016 Lakers be compared to Jordan's Bulls.

Only on ISH people.

Dumb. Is this thread meant to throw shade at Russell, or exaggerate Kobe?

MJ was making over 30 mil per season in 97&98

Idk how big of a chunk it was out of the cap

According to google (https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=nba+salary+cap+1998), Jordan was making 123% of the salary cap in 1997-98 at $33.1 million.

And people criticize Kobe for getting paid too much money. :lol

See. Other players should take paycuts. Not the head honcho.

How does a team that resembles the 2nd 3peat bulls miss the playoffs? :biggums:

They dont resemble them at all and will not make the playoffs. This isn't Kobe from 10 years ago.

I thought this while thread was bait, but you can continue to believe the stuff in your thread.

2007-10 Kobe was 5-8 years ago dude. Way to exaggerate though.

That's nice, but Kobe today isn't that guy either, which kinda proves my point that he can't carry a team anymore. I mean, that part should have been obvious and all.

And I'm going to leave the irony of the second part of your statement alone. Until next time, make some realistic threads for once.

I agree, but what's up with the Center position? Lakers would sign Robin Lopez and Koufos as well

then you have a roster that's good enough to compete with the 96-98 Bulls.

That's a terrible line up. Young players that are developing with old washed up players. They will be one of the worse teams in the West.

compare the salary cap situation in 97-98 to 2010s. go ahead and do that moron.
Also, Cavs can go over the cap and it makes sense but lakers going over the cap to sign player just can't happen with current rules.

See. Other players should take paycuts. Not the head honcho.no one with even a rudimentary understanding of economics think Kobe is making too much. As far as Jordan, this guy WAS the NBA as far as the casual fan was concerned.

I think the point with Kobe is more "if you're going to take this money and not perform don't complain about your team being ass" than him not actually being worth it. Kobe probably brought in billions in revenue throughout his career, what's a few hundred mil in this context?
