Sure branslowski.... he might have been paid in the past in accordance with his level of play.
But right now I find it ridiculous that a Kobe stan/troll has the audacity to call out Lebron James on how much he gets paid where Kobe is getting paid 25 million and plays 10 games a season. He successfully crippled the Lakers franchise for another 2 years. Unless, Russel becomes the GOAT and then we can say it was all in Godbe's plan.
Seriously what does that have to do with a guy that is being paid something like 25 million a year for playing 10 games a season.
It is ridiculous.

Who is it worth paying more?
Analogy #1- Paying 150$ For girl a girl who wont give head, complain that your cawk is too big, talks too much, just wants to lay on back, you feeling like you didn't gain anything out of the money you paid.
VS
Analogy #2- Paying 200$ For a girl who gives head til nut, then gives head to get you bac hard, doesn't talk, hops on top and loves doggy, you feeling like you gained out of your money spent

Those must be the most horrible analogies ever. We are talking present here.
Right now the Lakers are paying 200$ for a girl that does not give head, likes to talk a lot, agrees at some point to **** you, then after 4 minutes she stops, asks you to pay more if you want her to continue, then after you pay she accuses you of rape and you go to jail.

There's a reason Cavs fans aren't even really discussing this and representatives of other teams are not even hinting at the possibility of signing LeBron, guys.
Come on. Everyone knew he was going to opt out after the season. He'll probably sign another 1+1 contract with the cap going through the roof next year. It's a risky strategy based on confidence of staying healthy and maintaining a high level of play, but LeBron seems to have figured out the system for true max earning potential.

That may all be very true. But looking at the past IMO LeBron should have signed a multi year deal, just to show Cavs fans he wont flee when the going gets tough.

As he should, he's the best player in the world, therefore he should be paid maximum money. Plus hes not 22 years old anymore, and knows he won't play basketball forever.
Cavs fans understand and don't mind, because they know his value, and as long as he's staying healthy, you're in the finals every year.

'just a few people who work for the cavs'? You realize its all the concession people at Cavs games, all the people who sell his shirts and jerseys, all the parking attendants who work in Cleveland who benefit from the Cavs selling out every game and playoff game so they can feed their families.
Heres a link that shows Lebron impact on Cleveland is $500 million. But yeah I do hope he comes to the Knicks :)

LeBron should be doing this. He needs to break the precedent he set of stars taking less money for a "chance to win." Onus should be on the owners to pay what the market demands while still building a winning team. It's basically what Kobe was talking about when he got criticized for his contract.

I can agree with that. I really have no issue with him opting out to get the most money he can. Hell, we're going to be way over the cap anyway. It isn't like this hurts anyone other than Dan Gilbert's and his wallet.
It's really a non-story. But there is never a non-story where James is concerned, I guess.
There are a couple of really big, legitimate questions surrounding the Cavs this offseason. This isn't one of them. Will we get Love, TT and Shumpert back and can the Cavs figure out a way to add more talent with the Haywood contract and other assets?
Those are the big ones. This? Not so much.

No. The assumption is the Cavaliers will offer him a 4 year deal, for the max right now, but he's not going to take it. It's believed he's going to do another 2 year deal with a player option, opt out next season, then sign a bigger contract worth more money to maximize the new cap rules.

Aldridge, but just shows how much more you can make by waiting a year.
[QUOTE]If Aldridge re-signs with the Blazers on a max contract in 2015, he would be looking at a five-year, $109 million deal running through 2019-2020.
But as Feldman points out, if he signs a one-year contract in 2015 worth $19 million, and then re-signs with the Blazers in 2016 on a max deal, he could earn $189 million through 2020-21

This has nothing to do with Kobe, Lebron or any other player as a player. What team(s) you play for have zero impact on how good you are as a player and where you rank among the rest of the greats.
Sorry chief. It has impact when you're talking about the context. We all know why dude jumped teams. We watched how it was done, with whom and all the press around it with Lebrons comments along the way.

How the f*ck he is comfortably ahead of Kobe when
Kobe has 5 rings
Kobe never left the Lakers
Kobe only lost in the finals two times
Because he is.

You're making too much sense for a Kobe stan to follow. Don't.

Once again, that has nothing to do with how he played as a player. What jerseys someone puts on does in no way affect that person's stats or overall standings as a player.

All team accomplishments, 2 of those statements could also be made for Derrick Fisher. We are talking about player rankings, not team rankings.

Lebron has stated that he want's to be the first billionaire athlete meaning he wants to be worth a billion while still in his playing career.
I don't believe he will get there but with his value soaring, I do believe he can be worth 750 Million by the time he hangs it up. He knows cleveland getting just one title means more than 2-3 in Miami. He's responsible partly for Clevelands economy. Endorsements are already big, they get bigger with a championship to cleveland.
I got a feeling Cleveland wins the title in 2016. ISH crashes, Lebron signs a 200 plus million dollar deal and ISH crashes one more time.

That article talks about how he looks at Tiger Woods (Pre divorce) and his goal to be a billionaire.
Not crazy to think he can at least get to Tiger Woods level who was like 700 million worth while still active in PGA.
He's most likely getting a 200 plus million dollar contract with Cleveland. The endorsements will add to his worth. He has investments in other things and gets financial advice from warren buffets camps.
I could see Bron being worth 650 million easy by 2019. Possibly more if he brings championships to cleveland.

Hes is at about 250-270m right now, he will probably make 30-40 next year afterwards hes getting a 200m deal from Cavs + endorsement deals he will probably reach 600-650m by the end of his career(as you estimated). Not seeing him going close to the 1b doe.
