Avery Bradley would be very good on this team.

But why would the Celtics give him and his contract up? Are they trying to clear cap for someone?

Demar would be a decent backup to Bron

they have approximately 17 combo guards on their roster right now, they need to free up some playing time.

i would have thought bradley is worth more than an expiring though

expiring contracts arent really that important anymore, particularly next year. If it was partially guaranteed or something, but as it is, you are taking back a longer contract that someone now thinks is a mistake. Doubtful that you can get DeRozan Bradley or Green for that

i would have thought derozan wouldnt be gettable until recently, now its clear masai wants to blow it up the raptors.

even last year when things were going well, they could have made a trade at the deadline to improve and go all-in to try make a deep run, but masai didnt believe the team was legit, and it turns out hes right.

derozan is gettable.

Derozen is not a good fit at all as an off the ball player.

He will be just that on this team with Bron and Kyrie initiating almost all of the offense. Derozen is a poor three point shooter.

Bradley makes way, way more sense even though Derozen is a better player.

I was always under the assumption Haywood's contract was non gauranteed and could be waived at any point.

Would Derozan come off the bench then?

Derozan's pride is too high for that kind of move.

I love to see Derozan with the Cavaliers. They need some additional scoring off the bench. Bradley is also a good addition because he's a good defensive player.

Cavaliers already have Shumpert. They need some additional scoring when LeBron, and Irving sits on the bench.

Derozan is the perfect player for this system.

Raptors should have to throw in a first or Val to even up the trade.

Why do they need him?

They have at worst, the 3rd best team in the league, just based on talent and what we can see on paper. The very worst.

If you want to be completely honest about it, if not for the injuries, they're the most talented team in the league. With injured guys coming back to play this coming season, its already like a brand new team. You'll have a hard enough time working guys into the rotation.

More scoring threat in case Irving got injured again.

I always like his game. I always think that he's gonna be a solid 4th scoring option on a championship contending team.

DeRozan's defense is also top notch; he was really the only quality defender on Toronto last season. DeRozan would be a great value pick up for a team that needs a wing to put them over the top, even if it would cost them a significant amount. Getting teams willing to take on that salary will be tricky, but with the coming cap increase in 2016, that number drops significantly. If it doesn't work out, you can fashion a sign-and-trade.

why would Derozan play as someone's backup while he's totally capable of starting at any nba team? especially this guy is lebron.

No any starter would wanna live under Lebron's shadow.

What are you trying to say?? The Raptors are trading Derozan because of his contract. They cannot afford to pay him next season.

Haywood's contract is a 10.5 million dollar salary dump. It's not guaranteed.

20+ ppg All-star on a playoff team? Lebron needs more help at the 2. Something more like James Harden.
