wow apple, so innovative....
I gave up on Apple when they mandated ITunes. Even bought generic MP3 players so I didnt have to use that garbage.
Thankfully, phones have all manner of media on them, and they are much easier to access and navigate.
Plus their computers are ridiculously overpriced for mediocre equipment.

I'm proud to say I've never owned an apple device (other than the IIgs we had when I was a kid.)

That's an odd thing to take pride in.

iStuff is for sheep.
Are you a sheep or a dog?
:confusedshrug:
I was only semi-joking anyhow.
At least half the people I know use apple stuff though, and I'm constantly having to help them fix sh*t ...even with them supposedly being so much more user-friendly.

Music streaming is a garbage industry to be in, and beats was a terrible acquisition

About as well as Ping went over I'd imagine.

As a shareholder, I don't think this will make any difference to their bottom line overall. Even if Apple acquired 100% of Spotify's premium members overnight, the music streaming industry isn't profitable.
Meanwhile it costs them around $50 to make an iphone that sells for as much as $800 on ebay. Until they can figure out a way to get people to pay $80 a month for a $10 product, I don't see this being a game-changer financially for apple.

I usually just youtube albums and use up data on morning runs :confusedshrug: . Listened to all of Nas "It was Written" and about 4-5 Big L songs and it barely ate up any of my data.

Same here. Apple will not get a single dollar from my wallet. Only Apple thing I had was QuickTime and I don't even have that on my new computer. Apple music just a new way to overcharge their users.
That's an odd thing to take pride in.
Apple sides with the left when it comes to 'freedom of expression' and 'gay rights' while exploiting children and causing their employees to commit suicide in their factories and setting up new stores in countries where they throw homosexuals from towers for fun.
Apple doesn't care about anybody but the bottom line.
Props to them for playing underground artists a fair amount, but dear god I had no idea pop music was this bad before today.:lol

I was mainly interested in Zane's show, unfortunately I only listened to a portion but that small sample was great.
Can't wait to hear what the other DJs have lined up.
Haven't had a chance to give the app a try, but it's interface and radio might be what separates it in the long run.

So Their radio station is being censored!!
It won't stay that way
No thanks. I'm fine with putting my iPod in the car stereo and playing music I like listening too. Without any fees or commercials.

Missed Zane. Caught about half of the NY and London shows. NY was pretty solid, a really good mixed of modern pop, underground music(primarily Brooklyn), classic rap, and then some godawful house music. London was rough to listen too. Played a few songs that were popular there, a really talented female vocalist that I forgot but I was gonna download the music, and then I turned it off.
The guy that comes on after the London girl was their hype man basically though said some horrible stuff like the "we're trying to start a music revolution and we're doing it for you" "this is for you guys all you new listeners out there we're gonna play a mix of classic and new stuff, underground and popular music" just horrible. Hoping he gets fired.
The app is really solid. I like the icon more, and I feel like they finally made the music app completely glitch free for the first time in a while. Can't say for sure obviously because it's only been out half a day but yeah.
Ugh the censorship is so bad when they play Dr. Dre :lol

:oldlol: Yeah, f*ck artists right?
:durantunimpressed:
Why pay when you have spotify, pandora, YouTube, sound cloud, my mix tapes, spinrilla. Etc? It's all free
As soon as an album comes out you can stream it on spotify
:oldlol: Yeah, f*ck artists right?

Everyone's trying to cut down on bills. An extra $3+ a month on anything adds up over the year(s). No one's saying these artist don't deserve the money for our entertainment. But it's just a different time were living in now where anything can be accessed, the economy is cracked, etc. Just like any profession you have to be ready for inflated wages. Artists shouldn't be excluded. They should know what's in store for them where everything's going digital. Hell, look at the movie industry.
